Aeris...

Postby CephasWhite » Sat Feb 26, 2005 12:23 am

After seeing Golden_Griff's picture of Aeris giving a rose to Sephiroth, I just had to put this link here for an Aeris tribute:

http://uploads.ungrounded.net/content.php?id=56704&name=56704_aeris4.swf&title=Aeris%20%7C%20Final%20Fantasy%20VII&date=1109998800&quality=b&uj=0&w=800&h=457

Aeris is my favorite character and seeing what happened to her, broke my heart a little, with her representing the last hope of man.

If this belongs in the Anime or Gamer's Galore section it's okay to put it there.

Edit: I changed the link so you guys can go directly to the movie.

Moved to the gaming area. I too liked Aeris. However, I liked how things went. I have joked for a long time that
Cloud and her should be together, but shes dead...Tifa is not...so I hope it stays that way
I worry with Advent Children coming they may really screw up the storyline. I hope not.

Well, I just hope they keep things as they are. Cloud and Tifa are together...or at least hopefully are. And
Aeries is passing out flowers in the lifestream...
I spoilerized some posts on this thread. Gotta make sure we don't wreck it for anyone else.

I thought Aeris was a better fit for Cloud..maybe because Tifa dressed far too poracative and wasn't the brightest mind.

I totally forgot about Final Fantasy Advent Children.....gee when is that thing coming out again ?

I think talking about the
death
of Aeris is like saying Darth Vader is Luke's father or that Rosebud is a sled. It's only been eight years since the game came out and if someone doesn't know by now they probably don't care.:eyeroll:

The story certainly was moving, and unexpected in the world of RPG's. It was a good story and I hope Advent children doesn't change it lamely. It's too late to have second thoughts about it now.

And what the crap? Vader is Luke's father??? Oh man, now I guess there's no reason to finally see Return of the Jedi! Thanks Yojimbo!

That was Empire Strikes Back.

Yeah, that's the one thing I don't like about sequels of any kind to FF games. Usually, a sequel will go in and ruin something about the first game because they weren't planning on having any sequels and wrapped up the story nicely.

Well there's only one to choose from in the first place so kinda narrows it down.:P

Why didn't they just use a Phoenix Down on poor Aeris? They're not THAT expensive...

Life can be so tough. Sometimes tears are the only remedy for me. I don't know about anyone else, but for me, talking with someone usually helps^^ So if there is someone who is having a hard time coping with life, please don't hesitate to tell someone~

*is drawn to the thread after seeing mention of her name*
Whoa, I just noticed this thread :o

*waits impatiently for video to load*

This connection is a headache :shady:...

As for me on the whole FF dating thing, I think Cloud and Tifa makes a more valid couple. Aeris was a nice character, but she wasn't my cup of tea. Although I was upset that she would no longer be a party member (and therefore wasn't satisfied by the limited availability of the limit break powers) her series of unfortunate events didn't bother me that much. I really think that made the whole story plot much more interesting anyway.

However, the idea that circulates among other FF7 fans of Aeris and Sephiroth being a couple appeals to me. Such opposites :eyeroll:

Lol, yeah that's right! Her death wasn't any different from anyone else's! Hmm, maybe it has something to do with being an ancient :stressed:...

EDIT: *finally sees video* Hmm, that's nifty. It's kind of like what they do at the end of a television program honoring someone who has passed.
