YAY! I have PS2 problems!

Postby Roy Mustang » Sat Feb 19, 2005 1:10 am

Today, I was playing NCAA football 2005 and half way into the game. I heard this buzzz sound and then the pic just froze. I had to reset the system, but I took out the game and tried another one. The others work fine, and this happen last week when I tried to play NCAA football game too.

Here is the odd thing, I have had this game for about a year now and played like 300 to 500 games without this happening, but now its doing it everytime I play the game.

:shady: Not really happy with this and about this close to throwing my PS2 out the window.

I had problems with my PS2 a while back and gave them a call. They repaired it free of charge. Give it a try.

Oh, I forgot to say this. I had a problem in 2003 with my PS2 as the system not wanting to read the old Blue back CD's and at times it would go to setting screen, before loading right with the DVD rom games. It was 3001 model and in Aug of last year, I got a new 5001 model. So, the system is not very old and I have tried all my other games and it works fine. Looks like I need to clean the Football game disk and see what happens.

I even clean my old PS2 with can air every four months or so. With the newer system that I have. I have clean it a few times in 2004 and next month is when I clean it again.

It's proably the c.d. and not your PS2 in general. I really don't use any methods to get rid od scratches cause I am quite protective of my video games (general rule for my gamecube: all games must be in thier respective cases as soon as you take it out of the Gamecube.) I'm kinda protective with my stuff

Same here I never actually touch the disc. I've always treated my discs very carefully and it pays off because I've never had to replace them.
