I've begun to doubt Gods existance. Please pray.

I've begun to doubt Gods existance and i dont know what i can do. My mind is filled with doubts. Part of me even feels like there's no point in posting this, but im posting it anyway. I mean even if there is no God what harm can it do and it can at least do some good if God does exist. I guess what I'm asking for is prayer. Pray that my faith in the Lord can be restored. Thankyou to all those that read this and pray for me.

I have been in the same boat as you.

Lately I've been angry, sad, confused, hurt, all that stuff, and I blamed it on the Lord. I asked Him why He refused to help me, refused to rid me of my pain.

Then I saw that He did answer, just not in the way I expected. He gave me wonderful friends, true friends who have helped me pull through my rough times. And when I saw that I was blessed, I believed in Him. He is here for you.

Count your blessings. They are there. I pray that you will see them. God loves you, just as you're loved here.
I am unique, just like everyone else.

I've gone through the same things. I'm sorry you're doubting right now. I'll be praying.

Sure Kura, I will definitely pray for you. ;)

You know, questioning why you believe what you believe is not a bad thing. God wants all of us to grow closer in our relationships with Him. We should all take the time to seek out the answers to those questions that are in our heart. God wants us to be knowledgeable of His word. Only when we ask questions and DO NOT take the time to find the answers, have we cut our selves off at the knees.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Good point, Kaji. Asking yourself questions about what you believe and why is indeed a good thing. Isn't there a verse in I or II Peter that instructs us to be ready to give an answer when someone asks about what we believe? I don't have it memorized, but it is a good verse.

Don't worry everyone goes through this sort of thing. I'll be praying. And like people said, God encourages us to ask questions.

Our youth pastor said something along the lines of... Question God all you want. He wants us to question things and not just believe everything we're told. He'll prove to you what's true. Like the entire book of Job is him questioning God. At the end God shoots down all his questions and that was that. ^^

Just about every Christian goes through a period of doubting, and it's almost like a sure sign you are a Christian, as it's just the devil trying to confuse you and lead you astray. I'll pray for you, and just remember that you're not alone in your questions!

I will pray for you.

By the way, have you ever read A Case For Faith by Lee Strobel (or A Case for Christ)? One of my friends became a Christian after reading those :) .

Some of us are called by God; others are not. It's unfortunate, but there isn't much anyone can do if you do not believe. Only God knows the inevitable and unchangable outcome of this struggle.

I will pray.

Many Christians have doubts or question their faith at one time or another. I do it frequently. Some of us were made with more analytical, skeptical brains than others, but God knows that as He made us that way, and He knows what it will take to bring us to Him. Questioning one's faith while keeping an open heart and mind and being willing to believe to some degree based on faith is healthy. The more you ask or research, the more evidence points to God. But it ultimately comes down to faith. I will pray fo you, Kura.

Volt wrote:Your faith in the lord won't be resorted as easily as you think it will. Usually when this happens (which we've ALL been through) you need to pretty much wait for something horrible to happen and then God will pull you through it, and your faith will pick up.

That's why married couples argue, parents and teens disagree, brothers fight, & sisters quarrel. In order to really have some special relationship with the poeple we love, we must go through hard times with them.

Which is why I get angry at today's christians who want nothing but sunshine and good times, and whenever God doesn't instantly deliver them from depression they get all angry and ****. Why don't poeple understand that Suffering is good for the soul, it deepens who you are, and the best part is, in the end when it's over you have the story of your life to tell, and a lot of history to back up your faith.

I say this moment in time, your sumbling over this issue is a good thing Kura Ookami. This is probly one of the lowest points in your life/faith you'll ever have, so if you can get through this, then the rest going to be a lot more easy.

That was well said Volt.

You're right. I'm going to update any prayer request threads i make from now on....if i remember to that is.

Anyway, im doing better though i still doubt sometimes. I find that when im chatting with my girlfriend i feel Gods love through her. It's weird but that's really the only way i can explain it. It gets more difficult when im not chatting with my gf though when i dont feel Gods presence. That's when the doubts can creep in and they do. That's when i need to really believe in Him and have faith. Thanks to all of your prayers though. It's helping. Just slowly at the moment which isnt a bad thing. :)

Volt, I agree. It's the tough times that we should really cherish, because they test our faith and strengthen it at the same time. Love is about suffering. Getting through hard times is the true mark of love. Love is about the bad times as well as the good. I've learned that through my gf who i love with all of my heart :)

Well, i feel good to have so many people here that care for me. That alone is something that really helps. Thank you all. I'll update again later on when things have changed, okay?

EDIT: Come to think of it an update prolly wont be neccessaryI am doing much better after all. :)

Good to hear Kura. I'm going through some of the same stuff you are. It's hard to know how he's there, when you can't see or feel him, and all you have is a book to go on.

I'll pray for ya. Say a prayer for me if you would.
Take care.
