Very rarely am I seriously saddened at the loss of celebs. I mean, we have seen them in movies...but we don't really feel like we know them. Ossie Davis was always such a warm person to watch in films. It was only a month or so back, that I saw one of his most recent films. Along with Bruce Campbell, he did Bubba Hotep. One of the best horror/comedys I have ever seen. Now, when I watch the movie I know I will be saddend. What a bummer. Seems like were loosing a lot of celebs the last few months. *sigh* RIP Ossie. *leaves thread before anyone sees Steve is getting teary eyed*

And yes, I just made this sig tonight. I was going to bed when I read this headline...I was driven to open Photoshop and honor the legend with a sig. Sorry Hayden, *laughs as he tosses the Episode 3 sig* To those who have never seen the film Bubba Hotep...do yourself a favor...rent it. Its a great movie. Its a very serious movie kinda covered in comedy. The core of the film is awesome...tackeling some very tough issues about death. That, and you get to see Bruce Campbell fight an Egyptian scarab with a fork. Ossie gave one of his typical awesome preformances in it as a black JFK. Rock on Ossie. \m/

It seem actors die in threes. Another actor who died was John Vernon who played Dean Wormer in "Animal House" and if I am sure, because it was not shown in the credits, he was the English voice of Duke Red in Osamu Tezuka's "Metropolis"

Also, Max Schmeling died, a very interesting story. Despite being used as a Nazi propaganda weapon for his boxing defeat of Joe Lewis, not only was Schmeling not a Nazi, but he hid Jews in his apartment during WW2 and in Lewis' declining years, Schmeling and Lewis became close friends and when Lewis' health ultimately failed, Schmeling paid for his funeral in homage to his former rival in 1981.

 Sorry...

(Sharon...why is it dark...)
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!
