Weird Game Trivia

You can put up some weird facts and show off your gaming knowledge on this thread. Here's my contribution:

In Myst, at the Channelwood age, if you play the movie in which Achenar mutters gibberish backwards, he says something to the effect of "Rush Limbaugh Understands." This is the movie file to play backwards:

(With x being your cd rom drive.)

In Silent Hill 2, if you kill enough enemies with the chainsaw, you can kill another with it, then stand over its body for a few seconds and James will wave the chainsaw in the air and scream.

Mario 2 on the Famicom/Nintendo was originally called "Doki Doki Dreamland" in Japan and had nothing to do with Mario.

However, to market it better in America, they replaced the sprites with characters from Mario.

In Any of the PS1 Road Rash games. If you pop a wheelie infront of a car you can hop up on the hood. Its kinda funny just sitting on your bike as the car drives all over the city.

In Jak 2, you could unlock a Ratchet and Clank themed target practice mode with enough special points, and there was one area outside the stadium you could see a poster of Ratchet 2.

Likewise, in Ratchet and Clank 2, if you left the loading screen on long enough, you could watch Ratchet playing Jak 2 on his Playstation.

if you look at Mario 2... it makes a lot of sense. Heh. That game is wacky.

I am convinced that somebody at Nintendo likes classical music. Here is my evidence, gathered over a period of many years. (And hopefully I have my information straight... ^_^; )

- In Kid Icarus, a segment of the background music of Stage 2 (up until the fortress) contains an old American Civil War tune (I think...) -- though I'm not sure of its name.

- In StarTropics, the music that plays during the event at the end of Chapter 5 is the British tune "God Save the Queen".

- In Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!, one of the Ham-Jam tunes you can get is Maurice Ravel's piece "Bolero".

- In Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak, one Ham-Jam tune you can get is Beethoven's "Moonlight Serenade".

I've decided more recently that someone at Capcom also likes classical music...

- In Mega Man Legends 2, the music that plays on board the Sulphur-Bottom is taken from "The Four Seasons: Spring".

Let me know if you find any more classical music in a video game! ^_^

In Final Fantasy 6, if you choose not to wait for shadow. He dies and his picture appears somewhere in Thamasa

many probably know this
In Chrono Trigger. If you decide to kill Magus, then Frog later turns back into human later in the game

don't know if this counts ^^.

Metal Gear Solid 3: If you talk to Para-Medic a lot during the course of the game you can activate a conversation where she subtly reveals the identify of Ocelot's mother. I was surprised ^_^.

I'll try and think of more later.

Also, if you call EVA many times after finding the torch in the cave.

Here’s a funny little one from Metal Gear Solid 3…

In the mini-game "Snake vs. Monkey", Snake asks Colonel Campbell, “why can’t Gabe or Sam do this mission?â€
