a desprate prayer for a desparate friend

Postby c.t.,girl » Sat Jan 29, 2005 10:04 pm

a friend of mine and a friend of so many at my school desparately needs a heart and kidney transplant ASAP. thing aren't lookin' to good for johnny at the moment...he's in ICU. he's a great kid and a best friend of so many. he's been through so much but has always kept a possitive look on things. he's such a strong believer.

dear Lord,

i thank you for all you have done and given me. i thank you for showing me the way back to you. i thank you for all the trials i have been through...i really think it has made me stronger...i pray you give me more strength. i thank you for letting me have johnny as a friend and a brother in your son, Jesus Christ. i thank you that you sent your one and only son to die for not just my sins but for dying for everyone's sin. i thank you for CAA and for giving Ashley the idea for this place of grace. i'm so thankful that word of this place is getting out to so many. i'm thankful that it's made a difference not just in mine but in so many lives on this earth. Lord i know you can and i pray you, if it's your will, that you heal johnny of this sickness, or if it's your will that you send a heart and a kidney his way. he needs it desparately Lord. and Lord if johnny doesn't make it then i pray you take him. i pray for his soul. i pray that you keep you hand upon him. in all this i pray in your son, Jesus Christ's name.

Amen.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

Wow, needing both a heart and kidney transplant...
Sorry to hear that your friend is going through all this. I'm glad he has kept a possitive look on things; sometimes that's the little bit we need to continue to fight and move forward. I will defiantly keep your friend in my prayers. I hope the doctors will be able to help find a heart and kidney and that the surgery goes okay. I will pray that God continues to looks over your friend Johnny.

That we are all brothers and sisters in Christ,
So if you are in need of help,
We shall give you His advice.

May God add his blessings upon you,
That you will live this day and forever,
And when He comes to the earth again,
We will all go together...

Wow, that has to be rough. But it will certainly help that he already has the Lord in his heart! I'll pray for him.

Dear Healer,
Thank you for your dear son Jonny. Please take away the pain, whether it be with a successful surgery or having him come to live in paradise with you. Most of all, we ask that you do your will in his life. Thank you for giving everyone involved the strength to accept whatever happens. Amen.

I know how you feel. I had a friend who died not too long ago. I will pray for everyone who knew him.
