You run around in the wilderness as a wolf. It's so awesome. It's like a simulation/roleplaying game. First you make your world. You choose where it will be set (arctic, timberland, plains). Then you choose the abundance of certain types of prey (they change with the different world settings), how high the bounty is (how many hunters there will be trying to shoot you), how many normal humans there are (hikers and stuff), what the weather's like (stormy or calm), what season you'll start off in, and how long the game will last (one month to eternity--no time limit).
You then pick a wolf from about 25 different individuals with different strengths such as endurance (running), hunger tolerance, thirst tolerance, and strength. They also list the wolves' parents and landmark events in their lives. Sometimes the color in the actual game is different from the screenshot but oh well...the wolf fur colors are black, brown, red, gray, silver, and white.
Then you play and try to survive. If you don't start off as alpha (leader) of the wolf pack, you can fight your way to the top. You can have pups, become the omega (last in line) by purposefully losing fights with wolves lower in status than you (and when you're omega, you can leave the pack and become a lone wolf), fight in the pack (wolves will challenge your authority sometimes), lead hunts, run from helicopters/airplanes with hunters in them, play chase with your pack, travel, hold howling sessions, mark your territory, and everything else that wolves do.
Some computers with XP (that looks like an anime face
) need a special program to run it but you can find it on the internet.
If you want it, go to google and type:
wolf "sanctuary woods" download
(There's also a sequel called LION where you're a lion in Africa instead. That's fun too but WOLF is better in my opinion just because it's so much more fun to be a wolf.)
