Hurting for a Fellow Artist

I just finished reading a journal entry by Joanime and her current situation really hurts my heart.

Here are some journal snippets she wrote..

"My mother's in the hospital... I talked to her again today... and she's gotten very ill... and I cant even get out to be by her side, because of all the snow. She's not eating... her fever keeps rising... and they're keeping her there for I dont know how long. On the phone, it sounded like she was hallucinating... and it scared [(phrase deleted)] me. She cant walk, she cant eat... she doesnt even sound like my mother anymore. I keep trying to hold my chin up and be strong, but it's very, very hard."

"Before I hung up the phone with my mother, she told me she was proud of me. I dont know if she was totally coherent, because half of the time she was just mumbling about things I couldnt understand.

I was fine till she started saying "Baby, I'm proud of you. You know I'm your biggest fan, right?" Totally at random.

It almost sounded like she was saying goodbye. I couldn't help but cry. She wasn't strong enough to stay long, and there were so many things I wanted to say, but nothing could come out of my mouth."

I don't really know much about her spiritual life, or even if she's religious, but I sent a note anyway with alot of Bible verses and words of encouragement. Please pray for Jo and her mom.

It was kind of you to post this request, Lengai, and I hope that it is okay to post some excerpts of her journal here at CAA (*wonders*).

Thanks yall. ^^ She answered my Note and turns out that she's a Christian, too! Yay. Still keep her in your prayers, as well as her sick mom.
