The End of Days

Postby wilson1112000 » Sat Jan 22, 2005 6:28 pm

I have a question for you guys who watched the Arnold Schwatzeniger movie End of Days. Would you consider it a christian movie, or just a very "spiritual" movie with blasphomies?
Praise the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your might, for that is what we were created for.

We've got to speed things up in this hotel. Chef, if a guest orders a three-minute egg, give it to him in two minutes.
If he orders a two-minute egg, give it to him in one minute.
If he orders a one-minute egg, give him a chicken and let him work it out for himself.

warning spoilers...

It has a really weird interpretation of scripture. the priest in the movie says that in dreams things often appear backwards and upside down, so the beast's REAL number is 999, not 666. 1999, get it? ^^. The main plot of the movie is the devil coming to earth to try and inpregnate a women so she'll give birth to the anti-christ, I think. It was either that, or it would just destroy the world ^_^. I think it had some good stuff in it. There was a scene where the devil talks to Arnold's character and tries to tempt him by saying all this bad stuff about God and offering to give him back his family, but Arnold resists. His character also used to believe in God but after his family died he lost faith. He keeps trying to beat the devil with human weapons but they don't work, so at the end he ends up in a church and he prays and says something to the effect of "I can't do this by myself God, please give me strength", then he's able to win. I read in some book that originally the devil is beaten by human weapons but Arnold had the script guys change it and write in the prayer scene. I thought it was a pretty good movie, the only problem I had with it was all the language. It seems like every R-rated movie in the universe has to have a zillion swear words ><

Well, not every R-rated movie. The Passion had no cuss words in it at all, and it was R-rated.

i've seen it, it was prety cheesy, and they based the ENTIRE film plot on 1 out of context verse of scripture, very out of context. It wasn't that great a movie, as far as i can remember.
