ive never heard nor seen demons/voices. But It may be a gift from God. Seeing them can also make you think "ahah, since there are demons, the Bible should help me!"

Dear Linwood

First and formost you are not crazy! The Spirit world is alive and operating as we speak and no I am not crazy either. To answer any of your questions, I have one for you. Are you born again, do you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. It is only through the Precious Blood of Jesus that you can overcome the demons and the power of your testimony. So if you have not invited Jesus into your heart then that is the first step. I would like to pray with you.
Dear Jesus I know that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all of my sins. (you can name them if you wish, but God knows already what they are)
I ask that you, Jesus would come into my heart and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I believe by faith that You are the son of the Living God and through Your shed Blood on the Cross that I have been set free from the law of sin and death. In Your death I too have died and in Your resurrection that I too have been resurrected. I believe that you died for me and in three days You were raised from the dead. Thank you Jesus that You are seated on the Right Hand of the Father and You promised that when You went to be with the Father that You would send the Comforter to me the Holy Spirit. I believe that and receive the Holy Spirit by faith. Come and live in me and make me a new creation in Christ Jesus.

If you are sincere and pray that prayer with your heart and not your mind I have no doubt that the Father has heard your cry and He will come and live in you and you will be changed. Be prepared for a radical change as He wants you to be free! the Bible says that no man can come to the Father accept through Me. (Jesus) No weapon formed against you can prosper in Jesus Name.

Now to address the demons! Remember it is only through the Blood of Jesus.
The Bible says that there are strongholds- 2Corinthians 10:4says For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. The enemy is a liar and will keep you bound but you will have the Victory! through Christ Jesus. You need to tell them to quit harrassing you and to leave you alone in Jesus Name always use the name of Jesus and the Blood of Jesus is against them. You must speak it out! Ehesians 6:10-read it. You need a Bible. You will obtain the Victory because the enemy has been defeated he has to obey.
Jesus is King forever and Ever and He rules and Reigns.

I would like to recommend that you get into a Spirit filled church-what I mean by that is the Holy Spirit. He has a wonderful plan for your life and does not want you to be ignorant. Jeremiah 29:11 says I know the plans that I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you to give you hope and a future. God loves you so much that He sent His one and only son for you that you will live forever with Him. Jesus is the Way the truth and the Life-John 3:16 It is time. Hope this helps!

If you have already prayed and believe that you are a Christian then I suggest that you talk to someone who you can trust. If you do not know anyone then I would get into the Word and pray the Lord will send someone to help you. He knows everything He is waiting for you. I will be praying for you too. Just as a little sidenote on something you said linwood: you said you thought maybe you were losing your ability to see the demons? It may just be that so many people praying for you is keeping the demons from showing themselves ^^ That aside, as great as it is to have a group of people online to talk to and pray with, its not nearly the same as talking to someone at your church. If they don't take you seriously find another church that'll talk to you. Anytime someone who's more mature in their faith can talk to you and be your mentor is wonderful. I think chloe really gave good advice too, along with everyone else. God is so much stronger than the demons.
oh and about that voice, when you told us about how it told you to get out of the store, I just sorta thought of an angel... Of course I don't really know anything about the situation, so I couldn't say. The only thing I disagree with in Chloe's repky is that I think if God or Jesus wanted to talk and warn you in an audible voice, They can darn well do that ^^ Sry Chloe! You might be right, but this is just what I believe.

Linwood I know what you're going through. It's frightening. Sometimes you have to just look that thing in the face and tell it to leave in the name of Jesus. Sometimes singing a hym helps, especially if it's one that reminds the devil that he's been defeated. Also, I belive you have to say it out loud, because evil spirits can't know your thoughts like God can.

Hang in there, it's tough, but when I'm confronted with it (even now as I type this it's trying to scare me), the thing that gives me the strength to stand and fight is knowing that Christ has defeated Satan, and that nothing can overcome our mighty Lord, Jesus Christ.

i would say that you were crazy if after experiencing all that you have you have you didn't put your faith into Jesus Christ, that IS insanity

on a personal note:
i have had similar experiences, as a child i saw a type of silhouette of a demon on my wall, the light was hitting certain areas of my poster to make it look like a demon, well, i was raised in a christian household, so i new that if i prayed in the name of Jesus to remove the evil, that it would be gone, so that's exactly what i did, when i prayed i closed my eyes, and when i was done i opened them, and the image had changed to one more like what we think Jesus looked like, personally i don't believe in coincidences anymore, and now i see shadows that move by themselves, once in a while i see strange lights moving around too, but not as often, then there was the time a lady came into the store i work at, she was looking for some kind of strange book, and i'd almost swear that as she was walking up to me, her face changed from being tan and ugly, to lighter and normal lookin', and she asked for a book that i'd never heard of, and one that no one has ever asked for since, and i've been at this store for 4 years now, so i'm pretty sure it's some kind of evil book

on a more general note:
the spiritual realm works differently from the physical realm, the goal of the evil is not to destroy you in any way, because they can no longer touch your soul since you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, they can however still interact with you, kinda like the devil on the shoulder thing, only much worse, this is where the tricky part comes it, as a christian, our lives are no longer about us, they are God's and that is to be the primary focus of our existence, when things come along in whatever form and cause us to focus more on them than God, it instantly becomes an idol of sorts, think about peter on the water with Jesus, he was doing fine as long as his gaze and his mind were set upon Jesus, but then he saw all the commotion around him lost his focus, that's when he did his imitation of the titanic, so whatever you do, do not let the unusualness of the things around you allow your focus to be taken from your relationship with God, that is the top priority, and as soon as your gaze falls, the bad guys win, well, just for a while at least

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time, Linwood.
I also want to affirm to you: I do not think you are crazy at all and I believe what you are saying.

Something perhaps to take into consideration is from the gospel where the disciples try to cast out a demon but are unable to do. Jesus tells them that some only come out by prayer and fasting.

I want to affirm that God is more powerful than anything else. Even had all the angels fallen, God would still have the majority of power. Yet he still has many more angels than there are demons. If you are even very frightened - call out to him. Call on his name, and he will answer you.

From what my Mum and sister have said, I have gathered that often the enemy works through fear. Trying to make us afraid. Often, my sister told me, it is hard to distinguish this fear from our own. However, quoting scripture can help: "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind."

I agree with what others have said: it could help a lot if you found a Christian leader experienced in spiritual warfare to help.

Sometimes I can feel spirits around me, I can't see them or envision them, or hear them, but feel them yes.

Yeah that's how it is. It's weird...

I know that it is generally not a good idea to revive old threads but this one is of particular importance to me. Almost two years ago I started this thread. Two years ago I was in the middle of my senior year of high school. A lot has happened to me since then. Many family, financial, academic, and spiritual issues have come and gone and some still remain if not most. Since my original posting of this thread my ability to see spirits and "feel the presence" has greatly deminished. For almost I year I lost the ability to have dreams at all. However I have never lost my spiritual gift of perception. I can still descern situations and peoples intentions very easily and in the last year I started dreaming again. Not amazingly spiritual dreams or visions, just dreams. I no longer see demons but now I see something new. Now I see points of light that float around. Not all the time, but usually when I am least expecting it. They are almost like colorless holes in the physical world. I am having my eyes checked tomorrow to see if this might be something to do with my eyes, but I don't know.

I want to thank everyone who prayed for me or has been praying for me. Many problems in my life that still have not resolved themselves have prevented me from being able to be involved much in CAA or anime in general and I would like to apologize to anyone I may have 'snubbed' by not responding.

I would not put much stock in the visions, because if they are not from God, they can't be trusted. If it WAS from God, you would no it without a doubt. As for the other things, I'll pray.

i sympathize with you. ive had a few visions myself and they've come true as well. i use to keep it to myself as well. thought people would think i was a nut case. so i know what ya go through really.
