My Prayer Requests

Postby Syreth » Wed Jan 19, 2005 12:13 pm

1. Pray for my sister-in-law's sister, who is going through family problems. Her husband has abandoned her for no apparent reason.
2. Pray for my brother, who's wife has just left him.
3. Pray for me as I go off to college once again.

1. Yeah, this lady really needs prayers desperately. She's a very nice Christian lady and wants to do the right thing. Her husband pretty much ran off without a trace. He hasn't stayed a night with his family for about a year and a half. He's lied to her several times about major things and is pretty much just stringing her along (he knows all of the right buttons to push to make her think there's hope). She has two children that she is supporting on her own. Please pray that she would do what God wants her to do and also for her children.

2. My brother isn't as bad off, but still needs prayer to overcome feelings of bitterness toward this woman. Of course it's natural to stand up for my brother, but everyone who knows him can vouch for his character. He's a really nice guy and has been faithful to his wife and faithful to provide for his family. He also has two children. Please pray that God would give him the right attitude about this and that he wouldn't be lonely. Also pray for his kids.

3. Pray for me as I'm going for my 3rd semester at Bible college. Pray that God would teach me everything that He wants me to learn and that He would continue to prepare me for everything He wants me to do. I'll see what I can do about getting on here once in awhile, but if I'm super-busy, then you might not see me much, in which case, I hope you guys don't forget me. I'll be back for sure.

Thank you so much for reading my long post. I appreciate all of you guys and your prayers.

I'm praying too Syreth. It's so sad that marriage nowadays isn't considered to be a life-long commitment by most. Anyway, sorry this is so short, but a storm is coming ;) Just wanted you to know I am praying for you and your family :thumb:

It truly breaks my heart to see and hear about people who don't take this covenant before the Lord seriously enough to work through things. The ripples from the "splash of divorce," so to speak, make deep and terrible wounds that I can already see forming in my nephew. Pray for the little guy.

Speaking of which, I truly appreciate you guys' prayers. Thank you SO much. I'll hopefully be on again in a few days. Catch you all then!
