Can you give some examples of this?

Another game that I found better on GC was Soul Caliber II. I played it on all the systems and I still liked it on Gamecube. Not really because of Link (who aside from Nightmare, is th ebest character *ahem*) but I like the set up better on the GC then the other consoles (maybe cause I'm rather biased).

After PS3 comes out, I may consider buying a PS2 like I did with the first Playstation.

Though kinda funny but my all time favorite game is for the Playstation (and the only game I have for it).

Yeah, but you have to mod it to get the JP games you know...

I thought that was a Love Hina game  Even has the attenai! Image Ahh...I see...I did a search and the artwork is done by none other Ken Akamatsu

I do with there were more anime based games for GC. But I'm content after playing a jewel of a gem such as Tales of Symphonia.

If only I could show your pupils what they'd be missing.

I own a PS2 and Xbox, so buying a Gamecube for one game that hardly interests me is not worth it. I can already play Ninja Gaiden, Prince of Persia, Otogi, and many other great action games that aren't on the Gamecube (except for Prince of Persia).

I thought the PS2 was set similar to the DVD region code, so you could only play games that were from your own country unless you modded or got one from Japan.

I'm glad PSP doesn't have Region coding for it's games. It's just silly.

I've seen a few boot discs, but they seem to have some hardware mods as part of it. Of course, I just took a quick Google search, so I could have missed better sources.

I'm actually really looking forward to that Mario DDR game on GCN. I played the arcade version of DDR (3rd Mix I think it is) last week, and since then I've bought a PS2 and today before work I'll be buying DDR Extreme (it's the only DDR game I can find) and a dance pad.

I'm not sure about the lyrics of those songs, though... It's rated E, but it has a content descriptor saying "mild lyrics". =/

If it's on the GCN, and with Mario, I'm thinking that the songs would be more appropriate for my little siblings to play along to. The only T game Mario's been in that I can think of was SSB:M and that was a weird rating.

Also, as Vyse brought up in an IM conversation last week, if they're developing one game that uses the dance pad, it's likely that other games will use it too. Maybe there's a chance of other DDR games getting to the GCN, without Mario, in the future. :P I'm hoping.

How legal is it to mod my new PS2? I'm very interested in eventually importing the Japanese DDR games if that's legal, but if it's not, I guess I can't. I know it voids the warranty. So does using 3rd party memory cards, though, if I read the instruction manual correctly. o_O

The game's not even out yet. It could still be a good game. :)

Maybe you could even have the chance to dance to "Do the Mario." How awesome is that? :P

AFAICT, it's legal to mod it. Whether or not you want to depends on how confident you are in your mechanical abilities: Screw it up and you have a rather bulky paperweight...
