I have it already!! Yes, my fanatical friend too; she unlocked ALL the character in six days. It's loads of fun, but really not much different than 2.

I'm currently stuck on one of the story mode missions though. One of the new things in mission mode is that you don't always win by just beating the opponent. You occasionally have to perform certain moves to win. According to a hint website, I'm supposed to hit Ochimaru with a 2-hit combo then finish him with a Rangesan special. I must still be doing something wrong though, because I can't win. Aack!! Sooo, frustrating.

He wants them to learn to walk and must therefore take away His hand; and if only the will to walk is really there, He is pleased even with their stumbles.

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

Nail pierced hands they run with blood
A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

I may be asking silly questions here, but please bare with me.

This is an import game, right? I mean, they dont have a NorthAmerican Translation, right?

So, can you play imports (such as the japanese version) on your GC with out having to modify it?

I know that differant releases for PS2 dont work on differant systems. The Europe release of a game, for example, will not work on your North American PS2. Is this not the case with GC games?

Anyway, I just thought I would ask.
Thanks for humoring me,

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Correct, this is an import game. There are two ways I know of to play an import game on a US Gamecube.
A: Open it up and mod it, which is what I did.
B: Use a FreeLoader. This is essentially a bootdisk you can buy. You stick it in the Cube first, then swap in the import game and it allows the game to be played. But there are some import games which the Freeloader doesn't work with, so check before you buy.

Thanks Esoteric, thats pretty much what I thought.
But isnt it illegal to 'chip' (exchange the mod chip) your game system?

Yeah, for a Cube, you aren't actually installing a mod chip. You're just doing a little soldering for a jumper on the motherboard. It's not illegal... but it does void your waranty.

Uh, let's see if I can remember the details.

Flip the Cube over and use a special hex-style security bit screwdriver to loosen the screws. Flip 'er back over and take off the top. The motherboard is buried under the disc reader and fans, so you have to remove them. (Twelve or fourteen screws holding it all together). You also have to gently disconnect the flat tapewire for the controller sockets. With all of this stuff now off, you then have to remove the heat sync.

Once the mother board is finally exposed you must find the jumper leads marked R5(?) It's either R6 or R5. On a US cube, it'll be the only one of the two with open leads...the other will have a capacitor on it. Now, if you're a circuit board techie, there is someplace else, another lead you can solder instead. I only remember the R5 way.
You must solder a piece of wire to each of the SUPER SMALL leads, without soldering the whole mess together. This is where the Cube lives or dies, screw up too badly and well...you now have a lovely doorstop. Some people have also tried using glue and tape instead...with moderate success.

Cut a hole somewhere on the back of your Cube to install a toggle switch. Solder the wires to the switch. Flipping the switch one way is US, the other JPN. Make sure any exposed portions of your wire or switch aren't in a position to 'ground out' on the metal housing.
Then, put the whole thing back together, being extra careful to get a solid contact between the heat sync and motherboard. Simple, huh? hehe. There used to be lots of tutorial's online, even IGN had one, but I think it became too much of a problem with people destroying their Cube's. So, don't try it unless you're mechanically inclined and good with a soldering iron. There may still be a real tutorial somewhere that has pictures of the actual circuit (they were very helpful). Or there are people who you will mod it for you...for a price.

Should anybody try this based only on my brief description of the process, beware! It's dangerous. You've been warned, so don't blame me if you wreck your Cube or burn yourself with a soldering iron.

Yeah, I had 'profesional help' with mine, otherwise I'm sure I'd have a door stop. But I did give it the Cube a really cool watermelon paint job all by myself (i'm quite proud of that).
