Prayer... Please

Postby Riku777 » Tue Jan 04, 2005 9:35 pm

Hey guys. I've been feeling really depressed lately for reason's I don't know, and I've been having a lot of family problems as well as financial troubles. My two brothers (one's extremely rebellious and the other is overly sensitive about things and only is happy if everything goes his way, and he doesn't care if others are miserable from it...) have been doing everything in their power to make my life a living hell, and my parents are usually backing them up when I tell them to leave me alone, cause my brothers are good at lying... it's hard being the little-ist. As well, I asked my mom for a new jacket, cause my old one's really tattered and useless. Instead I got a hand-me-down from me older brother and I hated everything about the jacket, plus, it was too small. I asked my mom for a new jacket again, and she said "fine, we're made out of money" and I bluntly replied, "yup, we are!" well... THAT was the wrong thing to say obviously, and got in a heap of trouble. Then my mom finally told me the truth why I always get hand-me-downs and why we have to be so economical because we are almost flat broke. My mom and dad are scared that BC-Hydro is going to cut off our electricity everyday, and if it wasn't for our relatives, we wouldn't have food, or presents at Christmas and Birthdays and such. Plus, my dad's only making 9.50$ and hour and he works like 5 days a week max or something like that... *sigh*

Well I just told you a whole bunch of stuff that you probably didn't want to hear... like I said it's very hard being the little-ist and having all of your family out to make life miserable... I'd like some prayer, and support, please. At least when we have prayer and I'm praying I can take comfort in the fact that God is listening and he is in control. He's supplied us with food and water everyday and warm clothing, our family needs work though.

Please pray for us, cause it's hard for me to handle, and I don't like the stress, and I'm pretty sure my parents don't like it either.

I'll be praying for you, bro. That's some tough stuff you're going through, but I know that Jesus is looking out for both you and your family. I just pray that He gives you eyes to look past your present circumstances to the hope that we have beyond this life. It's so tough to keep our eyes on the promises of God sometimes, isn't it?

Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm surprised the littl'est one gets the tough end...I'm used to hearing the opposite.

I'll pray that the Lord will provide what you need and give you strength through it all.

I'm so sorry, Matt. I'll be praying for you.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

riku i can definately relate to you. We are also in financial trouble as well. Just remember that God is good, and in the end, Good will happen. He will not leave you if you do not leave him

And 1st peter also says that we should Suffer, as it is GOOD, and increases out faith. We should be joyous!

Philippians 4:something

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition, present your requests to God; and the peace of God, which transends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Our Father in Heaven,
Holy is your name.
May your kingdom come;
Your will be done in Riku's life,
Here on Earth,
as it is in heaven.
Please give Riku and his family their daily bread,
and forgive all our sins
as you would wish us to forgive eachother.
Protect us from temptation,
and deliver us from all evils.
We praise you, oh Lord.
Amen.

I pray that this time will bring all of your family closer to the King. God bless.

And it is also said in the bible that "in this world, we WILL have trouble..." Thanks Mr. Smartypants, I forgot that one ^_^ That verse will make me feel better when things are tough, and I'll just keep saying it in my head.

Well, misery loves company! I've GOT to learn to be more positive, God has a reason for all of this, and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't let it happen if my family and I weren't going to get something out of it. This pessimistic stuff is overrated... Thanks again

[quote="Anna Mae"]Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition, present your requests to God]

*sigh* I hate it when the right thing to do is the hard thing to do, just to stop worrying and doubting for a minute... I can't remember where it is in the Bible but I remember reading that if God supplies and takes care for the birds very well each day, then we shouldn't worry about what we're going to wear, or eat, or drink, because God will supply in the end. The bible also says to not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow has enough troubles of it's own. It's hard, I don't know why, not to worry about what will happen, and what we'll do. Thanks Anna Mae ^_^

And thanks everyone else very much for all of your prayers, because it's helping greatly. MY brothersa and I don't fight as much^^
bye guys!
