meh... I couldn't really find myself enjoying their music... the lyrics might be the problem. However, I am very much in love with Wasted Years.

I love Iron Maiden. Sanctuary is one of my favorites.

Wow, now I'm being questioned about my salvation because of the music I listen to. I've heard this more times than i'd like to. well, what's one more.
YES, I AM A CHRISTIAN. Yes, I listen to non-christian bands. Am i out killing animals in a field and drinking thier blood because I listen to non-christian bands? NO. Things that aren't christian are not necessarily evil. I'm not out listening to Cradle of Filth, or other real satanic bands, so just leave me alone with all this stupid accusations about my salvation. I'd like to ask you a question, The Shadow. Do you watch TV? If everything that is non-christian chokes out your relationship with God, you shouldn't watch TV. Do you ride in a car? Do you have electricity? Do you have a home? If everything that isn't christian is evil, you shouldn't have any of these things, because they were not designed to be christian things.
Back on the topic of music now. Non-christian music is far from evil. Almost all classical music is secular, along with jazz, and most other styles of music that take amazing talent, skill, and genious to write and perform. Most christian music is compiled of the same words, repeated over and over, with crappy music alongside. I hate most christian music, because it is all the same. How can you praise God if you do it the same way, day after day? You can't, because it just becomes a monotonous routine with all meaning drained from it.

And one last closing statement, christians nowadays choke out my relationship with God. Every person that I know that claims to be a christian and claims to be upright and good are the most sinful people to walk the face of the earth. I can't stand all these sunday morning christians, which most "christians" are. More on this topic later.

Whoa, folks. Let's not turn this into a discussion over whether secular music is bad for Christians or not -- that whole discussion stops as of now.

Any further remarks in that vein will be removed (and those posters subject to administrative penalty).

i am not going to say that all music that isn't under the catagory of "Christian" is bad, but iron maiden along with a many toher artists are "not cool" not trying to offend anyone, but if it has lyrics that are against God and his word, it more than likely does come from the pit of hell [which makes them tempting] sorta like when linkin park's new cd came out with JZ. i never was a freak for Linkin park, but i did like there music [i actually still listen to them everynow and then] they didn't have bad music, just depressing music] then JZ had to come around and ruin there image to meh and my friends. so just be careful what you listen to, and you would be surprised by how many christian bands there are out there who have music as cool as "iron maiden" or "linkin Park" or a few other music bands, but with different and better lyrics *Ahem* okay im done with my speech *looks in the back where people are snoring* hehe, gtg
