Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time; Warrior Within

okay so i'm a big fan of prince of persia! woot! so i've played the first one already and i thought it was SHWEET!!! now i just got the second one and....it too is SHWEET!! just thought i'd let ppl know. anywho, if you've seen the cover for the game then you know that the lady on the back is gunna be in it...and well...the first scene of her is of her butt. >< that was realy annoying...especially when i kept dying a lot ^^;(i didn't know the controls), but i'm just starting the game out so i just thought i'd share that with you guys.

oh and a little tip if some ppl are dying in a big battle, the thing that helped me a lot on the first one was to [SPOILER]just block for a while and try to be out of the way, and while you block try to find any patterns in the attacks(there is always a pattern) and not to not keep stricking but to wait til they are finished for a second and just get a few attacks in but try to not get in the middle of a circle...it's pretty hard to win in those. so just try to get one by themselves and then coax another one away from the group.[/SPOILER]

i was a big fan of the old price of persia games.
I'm not too fond of this darker, grittier prince, though.
It seems like a lot of developers are making their characters more edgy so their games don't seem childish.
an M-Rated prince of persia game isn't a prince of persia game.

yah i know rated M...but i just loved the first one that i just couldn't help myself. i haven't seen anything to rated M besides that evil lady's attire. i mean you could see her butt! >_< icky!! but other than that just a bunch of killing zombie dead guys.

oh and i just found out...cuz i'm actually playing the game at the moment...when you're fighting and you are blocking sometimes the prince doesn't hold the block, he sometimes drops it and then they attack him. >_< i actually just died bcuz of that. lol

I really enjoyed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and I am looking forward to playing the sequel (which I will hopefully be getting for Christmas :grin: ).

I heard that the combat is more complex in Warrior Within, but here is what worked for me in the first game:

[spoiler=PoP Combat Strategy]The key to winning battles is taking advantage of the somersault slash (I don't know if it has an official name, but that is what I will call it). This is the move where you vault over an enemy's head, then land and stab them in the back. This attack is very effective, because you cannot be attack by other enemies while performing it.

Unfortunately, most of the tougher enemies will not allow you to take advantage of this, hitting you with a counterattack every time that you try it. The trick is to use this attack whenever you can, saving up your dagger charges for the tougher enemies :thumb: .[/spoiler]

I guess I'll have to get the sequel to find out if that still works ;) .

acutally as i've been playing it's not really that hard(and i'm the type of person that plays on EASY :sweat:)...okay well maybe sometimes it's pretty hard, but i'm playing on normal this time! :grin:

really big hint in the first part of the game. don't read if you don't want a hint.
[SPOILER]actually ya you do use it but only on the evil lady and some crow guy. the crow guy was tough if you don't use the sumrsault thinggy...actually it's the only thing that will work on him. but on the evil lady all you really have to do is just block for a while and you'll find a pattern in her strikes, then you can figure it out. ;)[/SPOILER]

I've played a little of this at my friend's place. Its too gorey and bloody for me, I prefer the likable Sands of Time Prince and earlier versions. Although I've got to admit some of those fighting moves are very cool!
