Life screws us all. Big time. Man, we need prayer.

Man. Sunday, I went under my grandmother's house to replace a lightbulb that prevented the pipes from freezing and bursting. Well, it was dark and all under there, and a cat comes up behind me and touches me. I jumped when that happened, and hit a pipe. It broke, and water started going everywhere. My grandmother told me to just go ahead and fix the lightbulb, and when I started to try to unscrew it, it shocked me. I came out from under the house, and that was pretty much the end of the day. Atleast the Christmas play that night was uneventful. Well, yesterday, we went to the eye doctor (my brother, my grandmother, and I) and found out she MIGHT have something macular. Meaning, a blind spot that grows and spreads. We have a neighbor like that. All she can see is a ring around the outer part of her eye. We woke up this morning, and, guess what? My mom doesn't have any water now! The pump house burnt up during the night last night. Water is spewing all the way to the top of the pump house. It isn't very tall, but still...we think the water is coming from a neighbor's pump. IF the water spray wasn't there, the pump house may have started a big fire, and burnt the house, as well, so I guess we have something to be thankful for. Anyway, I need prayer.

Ouch. So sorry. This month's been that way for our family too. I'll be praying for you.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

We have water and hot water now. It's fixed. Well, most of it anyway. My grandmother's eye is not. We aren't sure that it's macular, though.
