AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! *glomps kitties*
I love cats!! Those are VERY VERY VERY adorable pics
Abby sounds like a nice cat Ash. My cat will only cuddle up to me if its cold...
Actually, my cat is a strange one. She coos like a dove when she sees a bird, or if I pick her up when its cold. :P

Wow, I can't believe I missed this thread...I must post my pictures now...

I'm going to post pictures of my family's three adorable cockatiels.

The first picture is my cockatiel: Pearl (or Pearl-baby, as I call her). You can't tell in this picture, but she's blind in one eye (due to a virus in the nesting box where she was born). She's somewhat grouchy, but she can't bite hard at all and she becomes sweeter when I'm around. So yes, I am her favorite person in the world.

The second picture is my sister's cockatiel: Anakin (who I call Anakin-Mannequin, The Duck or The Loon). This bird turned to the dark side of the force at a young age and hates me with a vengeance. He actually climbed up on my bed when I was sick and bit me. Surprisingly, though, he misses me when I'm gone. Case in point: when I came back from college, he wanted to come to me. He then hopped on my shoulder and promptly bit me. This bird is also in love with himself. I kid you not. If you place him in front of a mirror, he will start singing TO HIMSELF.

However, this duck loves females, tall people, and people who aren't enamored by him. So if you're any of those, he won't bite you. In fact, he'll be rather charming towards you. His favorite person in the world is my sister (Iona).

The third picture is my sister's cockatiel as well: Samuel Mussabini (known more affectionately by all of us as Beany). Beany is a very old bird, but he's the sweetest and the friendliest of the three. You wouldn't believe what he's been through with children and still never complained or bitten anyone...He's been getting crankier with old age, but he still likes attention. He's actually the father of Pearl and Anakin (we had the mother too, Juliet, but she died...). And yes, he can sing...beautifully too, I might add. Anakin's song is shrill and a rip-off in comparison to Beany's. And yes, he doesn't have a tail. He's always been a bit too fat to get back there and prean them, so he's never had one. His favorite person in the world is my Mom.

How cute! I used to have a cockatiel named Tuki Tuki (yes, from George of the Jungle). Then he got a seed stuck in this throat and there was nothing that I or my parents could do. I mean, you can't exactly give a bird the heimlich manuver. SMan, does Pearl like being sprayed with a squirt bottle? Tuki used to love it. He'd stretch both his wings out and turn in this little half circle back and forth, and he'd screech when we stopped.

We had a number of cockatiels, and my mom still has a few. I'd like to get one again, because they tend to be very affectionate birds.

This is my tortoise Houdini. ^^ He may not be cute to you, but he is to me!

The picture is from when we visited our relatives in Pennsylvania during the summer. Houdini loved it there; much prettier than humid, bug-infested old Florida.

It's taking a long time for the attachments window to load! :( The page is still all white...

Any minute now...*sigh*

Goes over to pet Cali ....
*Cali hisses*

"Back away not today..."

Anyways, cute cats Ash, I wonder why Cali is so tempermental. That's the weird thing about animals, each have their own personality. SOme are caring and love attention, some hate it....

And SManBeyond, love the bird. At least you dont have a Cacatua like my mom. That darn things just screams all day... It really pierces through your ear drum. :shady: THough small birds are more tolerable.

Yes, they are very affectionate birds. They LOVE attention, so even if you just take them with you to watch TV, they appreciate it. Also, because of their nice "medium size", you can actually train them and hold them, and they can sit on your shoulder (unlike smaller birds like finches and canaries).

Actually, when Anakin wants attention, he screams really loud. It can get annoying, which is why the three of them reside out in our screened-in porch rather than in the house...:)

Gypsy wrote:SMan, does Pearl like being sprayed with a squirt bottle?

We haven't used our squirt bottle in a while because it's been broken...We could set it so that it sprays a mist, and all three of them like that. It's like giving them a bath, although we can usually only give them that treat when it's warm outside.

However, we could also set it so that it sprayed a stream of water like a water gun. We'd use that for when their cage is indoors and they left it to wander around the house (which my Pearl baby rarely did, unlike that stupid duck). We squirted the water right in front of them, and they'd jump, turn around, and head back towards the cage...unless it was the duck, in which case he'd take a few more sprays and perhaps one or two direct ones before he'd go back...

Here is a picture of my gerbil Frazz. And my doggie Coco! ^^

Sadly, Frazz has passed away, just like 3 days ago. He was a great pet, I loved him. :(

1.Frazz, being most adorable.[He is the one in the taxi]

2.Coco, looking like she needs a hair cut, she has one now, she is like smaller, and cute. ^^

Huggles Shadow, she has the best personality for a dog. As long as you love her at your convenience, she's happy as a clam. The two other dogs is Angel (the white one- a Bechaun Friese) and Smudge (just a picture of her butt) and she's a toy poodle.

Here's my doggy :D. He's a Boston Terrier...Lemme tell you the story behind him.

His parents are World Champion showdogs. The Trainer that had him sold him to a lady that was gonna show him. She bought him for $1,000. Well she got him then found out that he wasn't show worthy. Everything else on him is perfect...he would have been a champion...but one of his testicles didn't drop :(. It was there just didn't fall. So she had to give him back...it was sad...then my mom knows a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend who knows the trainer...so we got the connection and I've been wanting a dog...so we got him :D. Scott free shots and all :D:D:D:D

Ok here he is...juzst click the links k?

:sniffle: :( Ah, let her have a dog already, Gypsy! Poor Spades... :waah!: :waah!:

I'll show pics of my... DOGS, okay? Just to get you in the mood for dogs.

First one is my baby, Comet (the chunky one) that I found in front of my kids school and took it home with me - he just jumped in my car and gave me a hug. ^_______^

The second dog is my son, Elric_kun's dog, Jake (the smart one).

And the last one is my daughter, chibi_chan's dog, Panda (the skitterish one).

Wow, so many cats, my dogs would love to play with all those cats.

And, I finally got to see the Amazing Houdini, Maddie. He is cute.

So many cute and cuddly animals. :)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Cool dogs True_noir, they're cute. I wish I still had my dog, but we had to give her up:(. Cats are kind of cool because they don't really make a mess, but dogs are more affectionate and love to play. Cats will rub up on you for you to pet them, and then when you do... Slash! Get scratched. Or perhaps thats just my cat ^_^
Anyways, cute dogs.
