Depression sucks

Postby Libby » Thu Dec 02, 2004 4:58 pm

I have severe chronic depression.

It is not fun.

My grade point average is currently about a 1.75, despite my getting 30 (out of 36) on the ACT. I can't drag myself out of bed to go to class. I can't get up the energy to study or do homework. All I do is read and play on the computer. I can't do anything, even fun stuff, that requires more than 30 seconds of attention at a time. My medicine gives me indigestion, and makes me sleepy. I'm cranky at everyone. I cry at the littlest thing. My teachers think I hate them. My therapist is mad because I'm such a failure. My parents are making me quit college and get a job and live at home. I really want to stay in college, but it doesn't look like I'm mature or stable enough.

:(

I've not had a good year.

Please pray for me.

Thanks.
Libby

-_- depression is a hard thing to live with, and a lot of people underestimate its ability to destroy a life.

I'll pray for you.

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

I know how it feels to have depression. I had to take medicine for it when I was in sixith grade. That was not a good time for me. I did alot of praying, and got over it. I will pray for you.

If he orders a two-minute egg, give it to him in one minute.
If he orders a one-minute egg, give him a chicken and let him work it out for himself.

Don't call yourself a failure -- self talk is so destructive. I know many people who didn't start off on the right foot for college, and this doesn't mean you can't go back (or start fresh somewhere else), as humiliating as it is to have to hang up your spurs. I hope your parents are being supportive, and I will keep you in prayer.

My parents... that's where most of my issues are coming from. ^_^;;; They're both have Masters degrees, and my mom has a Doctorate. So the fact that I can't seem to get a measley Associates is a MAJOR embarrassment to them. >_< I know they love me, but they have a hard time believing that I'm really trying and still can't get through it.

Thank you for the kind words.
