Going Home!! (and other praise)

Postby majanthehun » Tue Nov 23, 2004 12:16 am

lucky me!! it's been since january since i've been home because of my classes and job and all that stuff... i just haven't had the time to fly to oregon since i came to college down here. so, finally, after much praying and penny pinching (i literally picked up pennies in parking lots to pay for my plane ticket) i am going home!! praise God!!

so, pray for my flight home, my time there (i get to stay for six weeks), my up coming semester (starting in february), and my job (i'm praying about quitting-- i think the Lord is moving me on, but i love my job so i want to be ABSOLUTELY sure the Lord wants me to quit).

oh yeah, praise report times 100: my step dad is going to adopt me over my christmas break!! yea!!! i am so stinkin excited!!

and i think the biggest praise report is that the Lord has totoally pulled me out of this blue funk that i've been in. the spiritual warefare is so heavy because it's the end of the semester, and i've been hit especially hard this time. but the Lord is faithful!! He is always by my side!! what love and grace!! i am so blessed!!

ok, i just needed to say that... the Lord is so faithful!! never loose sight of His love!! He is right by you, even when you don't feel Him.

In His Love,

the majan
Lord, I don't know where this is going,
Or how this all works out
Lead me to peace that is past understanding
A peace beyond all doubt

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.
