Might not graduate...

Postby Mike_Myers » Fri Nov 26, 2004 10:12 pm

As I am going off into college the next year, but unfortunately I am lacking the grades I need to graduate (I am failing two of my VERY difficult classes.) It's not that I am dumb - It's that somehow I've made some poor study decisions early on in my senior year that caused me to get really bad test scores. I've gotten a much better GPA in the past, but for some reason I just slipped in the start of my first semester.

I am constantly worried that I might have to repeat HS! :(

Hopefully with a little support, I can get out of this rout that I made and graduate high school.

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

Thanks everyone. The problem I'm having is that I am literally "buried" under a pile of work and it's very stressful for me. Although I have a chance of getting out of my mess, it's just that everything about it is driving me crazy. I need the Lord's help in containing my madness for now...

Hope things work out for you. Just remember that life will go on despite a bad grade. I'm just like you about my grades, but lately I've come to face the fact that sometimes I need to focus more on my life for the Lord (and what kind of grade He's giving me) than a class down here.

Some thoughts to chew on. I'll pray!
