My friend away from home

Postby true_noir_chloe » Thu Nov 18, 2004 5:47 pm

I rarely ask for prayer on this thread, and right now I am asking for prayer for my friend. She has had it very hard/difficult her whole life. She has a job that supports her so that she barely gets by. She lives miles and miles away from any family and struggles with loneliness.

She wrote me an email the other day; finally, responding to an email I sent her over two months ago. She was on a time limit at a library and had to jot down as much as possible in her quick message.

This friend of mine is a fantastic writer, one of the best I've read of amateur writers. She has been blessed in many ways, but financially she is struggling. She always acknowledges her blessings; such as, that a woman in her church that she barely knows, invited her to Thanksgiving dinner with her family - out of nowhere. I can always sense the Lord watching out for her whenever she writes me.

This is what I would like for you all to pray for: That she grows closer and closer to the Lord in these hard times. The Lord will continue to grow her into the woman she should be. And, that her financial burden would be lifted if it be His will.

Thank you all for reading this and praying. ^________^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I'll pray for her.

I think I've heard of this special person from you before, Chloe. Don't worry, we'll pray for her.

I'll pray for you friend. And you are in my prayers also.
In the name of Jesus, may you both be blessed beyond belief.

Thanks you all for praying! ^________^ I will let you all know when I have an update on her. I'm going to try and call her again after Monday.
