I've been stupid...

Talk about anything in here.

I've been stupid...

Postby PrincessZelda » Mon Nov 15, 2004 5:23 pm

Okay, in case you haven't noticed, I've been acting really sad and stuff lately... Well, I was feeling left out, and like no one liked me, etc. And, I've never really told anyone this, but when I was little, my dad was abusive. In a very bad way. Now he's just mostly verbily abusive, but anyhoo. I just completely stoped trying to get along with people and actually started to make poeple not like me. Like, I just started being really rude, and doing really stupid stuff. And I no one really was ignoring me that much. I just started drifting away from God, I hadn't prayed in like, forever, I stoped reading my bible. And, right when I did, I started feeling left out, and I was always putting myself down. So like, yesturday in sunday school, we were talking about about doing what God wants us to do, and stuff... And, the sermon in church was about hope. And I just kind of realized that, I kind of lost all hope. And, stuff.... So, I spent like all day yesturday, last night, and this morning just praying. And, I'm trying to stay on track now.

I'm sorry, everyone, for being such a jerk. And, I'm going to try and be nice and happy now. No, I am going to be happy now!

So, yeah...

If it helps, I didn't notice if you were ever being rude....
That is the answer to my problem too! A while back, I started slacking off on reading my Bible and stuff, and then I started feeling down. Now I know why. I wasn't seeking God first.

Aww Zelda :( I don't think you ever acted like a jerk. I don't really have the right words to say right now. But I will lift you up in my prayers tonight. *huggles*

I haven't noticed you being unkind. But I'm glad you're resolved to be kind now. I'll pray for you.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Zelda the only thing I noticed was you being a very courteous, upbeat, and fun person so don't sweat it.:)

Now I'm very sorry to hear that about your father my suggestion would be to instead of holding it in like this talk to someone at your church, youth group, just someone that you trust to help you deal with this. I'll put in a prayer for ya tonight.

Well, I would, but there's one problem with that. My dad is an elder at our church.

*hug*

may the Lord do great things with you, dispite these troubles.

1 Peter 4:13 "But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. "

James 1:2-3 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance"

^_^ just be dependent on God, and i guarantee, God will help you out! I swear upon my life that things will turn for the better if you rely on God! ^_^

Many of us feel victimized by our circumstances (yours truly included). I hope you find it comforting and inspiring to know that God intends to make you a greater person, who wins over your circumstances and blesses others at the same time. I'll keep you in my prayers for spiritual growth. ^_^

Then go outside of your church. If you can, go to another church in your area of the same denomination.

I would also recommend confronting your father. I'd like to think that someone who has risen to the position of elder has a certain amount of learning/wisdom in the ways of Christ and is at least a little bit open-minded. I know that is not always the case, though.

It's OK to be unhappy at times, instead of resolving to be happy, resolve not to take your unhappiness out on other people.

God bless.

You could always pull the "I have a friend. . ." tactic. That way you explain your situation to the pastor but you pretend you're telling him about an aquaintance. You know, "My friend's father is abusive, yadda, yadda, yadda. What should she do?"

If your dad's an elder, and he has this problem, talk to the pastor, for the church, as much yourself.

Yeah, I don't wanna pressure you, but you you might want to try and talk to someone. It's just not healthy for you to have to hold it in. And it's just not fair to you, either. This isn't a burden you should have to carry.
