Please pray for my uncle Chris

Postby Saint Kevin » Mon Oct 25, 2004 7:50 am

My uncle Chris is in the hospital, after something happened to him at work. Nobody is sure what yet, but they suspect it could be anything ranging from a heart attack, to a stroke, to a concussion.

What's worse, is the fact that he has no health insurance, because the grocery store he used to work at changed hands. Under new ownership, he only got hired as a part-time employee, and I'm pretty sure he needed to log a year with them before they would give him benefits.

My uncle is not a Christian, and maybe this is a wake up call that he needs, but still, I pray that his immediate needs are met, and that the Lord would use this for His glory, and hopefully, to save my uncle.

I wish I could say more, but I can't yet.

Thanks in advance for the prayers.
Our lives are but a vapor, let us not let waste our time and breath on vanities, but let us spend ourselves for the Kingdom, seeking a better resurrection.

I'll pray for him as well. Does he have a family to support? Keep us posted, SK, ok?

I will definitely be praying for him, Kevin. ^__^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

SOrry to hear about that man. I know what it's like to be in a situation w/o health care because I also don't have health insurance. I pray that your Uncle gets better (meeting his needs) and hopefully through the grace of God will become closer to God.

Thanks for the prayers everyone. My uncle is fine, although he was probably just drunk and some stories got blown out of proportion.

I'm glad he is fine as concerns his immediate health, but I'm still saddened by the fact that he is an alcoholic and that he isn't saved. If I could ask for your continued prayers for his salvation, that would be great. I am happy to report though, that my uncle is fine, and that you don't have to worry about that. Thanks again for the prayers everyone.
