Prayers for America

Postby SonicRose » Sat Oct 23, 2004 9:36 pm

Here in America, we've been blessed to have a Christian President, one unafraid to take a stand against bullies. He's said before but one of the greatest comforts for him durring his administration - is when people pray for him.

So, I am asking for Prayers for the President - for Guidance - so he makes good decisions - For his staff and the people under him - that they may ne Goddly. (Wouldn't it be nice to see Voluntary prayer back in schools? Abortion firmly illegal? Homosexual marriage stopped dead in its tracks? Bush may not do that, but he could promote a Judge to the Supreme Court who could.)

There's been a lot of nonsense going on and the political anarchy has got to stop. This Election is an important one - every election is... So Whatever side of the issues you're on, Pray for guidance - on how to vote - on how to put things into perspective.

As A nation we had God as our Foundation, He is "In the Beginning", And we shouldn't let vocal minorities try to shout us down, because they don't want their kid to hear the word God, while we, every day hear our Lord's name taken in vain.

I was not involved in polotics or interested in it until after I was Saved. From the Public school systems which widely teach the wit and wisdom of the world - counter to the Bible - I was inclined to political and spiritual apathy and ultimately toward death.

I would pray that anyone thinking of making this your first time voting - please check out the facts. *looks hopefully at moderators and slips in http://www.factcheck.org *

For America as a Nation, and its place in the world and events, we have been the wind of Change. We've been reviled from our beginnings, and the world still doesn't like us, so why are we here? The Grace of God.

I pray Thanks to Him who Allows us every day to be here. I thank him that we have not had another terrorist attack since 9-11 (not for lack of want or trying). I Thank God I can still say the name Jesus in public and not get shot, in a place where Criticism, Slander, and verbal abuse are the most likely things I will Suffer for my Lord - but to pray also for our Christian Brothers across the world who are suffering.

In China we have Christians who must stay 'underground' or be shot. The Martyrs are many and all across the Globe, that's Satan's Terrorist network. Let's pray to Bring him down, and While the Lord Tarries - that We, with His Strength and Guideance, and Love, Help us Hold the Fort and Push the Enemy Back. This is Spiritual Combat, polish up that armor. Jesus gave us a Sword.

~Amen.
Your arms are too short to box with God.

Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

While I respect the desire to pray for the upcoming election -- and I hope everyone does! -- I'm going to preemptively close this before politics becomes an issue.

SonicRose, thank you for calling our prayer lives to the election, and if people have specific thoughts, I encourage them to PM you.
