I need a wee bit of prayer

Postby Zero One » Fri Oct 15, 2004 10:43 pm

Hey, don't know if this is the right place to post this or not, but I've met a few of you kind people and so forth, so I'd like to ask a favor. For the past year and some odd months I've been slowly trying to transform my family. You see I've been goin to a christian school for almost all of my life except for these past two months so I've been growing a bit in Christ each year and finally I realized my family wasn't where it should be. So I decided that I needed to take action to get my family to be more christlike so I prayed and asked God to get my parent's attention and well stuff happened to my dad he broke his arm, tailbone, got cataracts, lost his job (and he's the tree trunk of this household) so yeah I finally told my mom that I had prayed that God would get their attention and I read a couple of passages to my mom, and finally got her goin to church and even tithing, so I've got one down and my dad to go he's gone a couple of times with us, and well I asked God to start healing my dad as well I couldn't bear to see my dad suffer anymore so he was able to get surgery to fix his cataracts and he can see well and my mom's friend helped her open up a business, so I feel God is gradually setting us back on our feet. Well now for the favor I'd like it if you would please pray for my family and hope that my mom's business goes well. My mom and dad have always believed in God just I guess like that other guy was talking about italy they believe in God and stuff but don't necessarily always go to church, that was kinda the issue here, so again if you'd pray for my family I'd greatly appreciate it. ^_^

Sometimes for God to help us he must Break us.... deprive us, and let us suffer for a while. When our world comes down and we feel like there's nothing left to live for, God comes in and begins Rebuilding. Starting over clean with a new foundation.
I'm leaving CAA perminantly. i've wanted to do this for a long time but I've never gathered the courage to let go.

Father, You have been leading Zero One and his family down a path now, as requested. I pray 01 will remain faithful to its end. I know You have something wonderful in store for them, Father. Grant them patience and wisdom to wait on You. If it is Your will, and Your timing, Father, continue to heal them, grant them the success in store for all who follow You, and Father, if they still need to be broken some more, then break them. But give them courage and strength to withstand the trials ahead.

Amen.

My family used to be "Christmas Christians." I prayed (somewhat faithfully) for them for almost 5 years or more and only recently (a year back), did I see my parents take a 180 degree turn towards God. I'm very thankful for what God has done in my family and believe that He will do the same for yours as well. Don't give up, we'll pray with you and expect to see God work wonders in your family.

as silver is tried... Thou hast caused men to ride over
our heads; we went through fire and through water:
but Thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place."

Small update: Umm..well I mentioned my mom's friend helping her start her own little business err at least I think I mentioned it, but anyways. My mom's old boss whom wasn't very nice to my mom (even though she was supposedly all Christianlike and what not) she decided to move her office like a few lots down from my mom's office. Why? One would assume friendly competition but I think it's more out of anger because my mom was really the one who kept everything running smoothly at her old job and when my mom gave her two weeks notice her boss sent out a not so good e-mail when my mom finally left so yeah. I think she moved her office to maybe smother my mom's business so just pray for that please, I don't know why people have to be like that ><

I wouldn't know that god could solve them and
I'd never know what faith in god can do!

another praise, my dad got a job, so yeah I'm really glad about that. Oh and umm...not that anyone has frequented this topic in a while but by some supernatural chance that someone does, does anyone know of a good devotional/study Bible for Men/Father's? I bought my mom a Study Bible for her birthday and the title made it easy enough for me to pick out Mom's Devotional Bible so yeah that made it easy so I got to wonderin about if there would be a suitable one that I could buy for my dad.

consider it prayed about...

uh, well, search on ebay. sorry I can't give you better, the best guide is going to be prayer, which we are all giving, and of course, continuing to go to church and read the Bible... but try ebay, or try checking the company and all on the bible guide for your mom, and search if the company makes one for men. ;D

Heb 12
4In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons:
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
7Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

James 1
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

I will be praying...
I used to "Follow" Him because i had to....now i would give everything to follow Him.

Me check it out!
