What do you look for in a girl/guy? This should be good, meh heh. Also, which Anime..

Talk about anything in here.

Serena--bringing up a thread this ancient is kinda like reviving a frozen wooly mammoth. (It's not a "terrible crime" though, so don't worry, in the future just make a new thread, 'kay? ;) I've done it before, too... o_o)

But since it's already open, I'll post...
What I look for in a guy. Okay! ^_^

1) Strong Christian.

2) Not one who's going to go out and abuse/kill animals.

3) Loves me, too!

4) Gentle, but not too passive

5) A sense of humor (so he doesn't think I'm nuts... o_O)

6) And not the kind who's going to boss me around (just talk to me about stuff, if it bothers him)

That's all. I'm not picky about looks as that can be very limiting...I don't want to not marry someone just because they aren't "hot" but they match all my other standards.

As for Anime guys...Kenshin!!!! XD :D XD :D
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

The perfect woman, eh?

She must have violet eyes and black hair to her shoulders. She must have the power to destroy the entire planet (just in case).

Also, she must be into anime and D&D and video games. Why? Because if I WERE to ever get involved with a woman (heh heh NOT) those three things would consume most of my life.

I wouldn't think twice about cancelling a dinner date to go play D&D with a gaming group. I wouldn't think twice about cancelling a trip to Hawaii to play D&D with a gaming group. I LOVE D&D. It rocks.

Yeah...I'm pretty much going to be single forever.

The one person that God has chosen for me...

1. A strong believer in Christ that can support me in faith and vice versa.
2. Must have some of the same interests as me of course but I want them to be somewhat different from me
3. Has to love kids and want children in the future
4. At or near my age
5. Attractive to some degree
6. Has to put up with me being career military, accept the fact we may move around, I would be in danger at times, and support me completely in this respect.
7. Put up with all the my faults and help me to overcome them.
8. Humorous at times but knows when to be serious.
9. Is very intelligent
10. An animal lover

*Imagines being married. Honeymoon night.*

Me: "Well, babe, we're all packed and ready to go to St. Thomas. You'll love it there, it's awesome. I went once before and--"

*Phone rings*

Me: "Hold on, babe. Hello? Hey, what's up Ray? Not much here either. What's that? Gaming? Tonight?! Dude! I've been waiting for a chance to get Stiele up a couple of levels! Yeah, thirty minutes. Later."

*Hangs up phone*

Me: "Uh, sorry. Ray just called. The group's getting together, and well...those are refundable tickets, so it's no prob, right? We'll just have our honeymoon some other night."

*Door slams as wife walks out of house*

when you find the one that God had planned for you your whole life nothing like that will matter. you guys will be inseparable(spell?). if a woman who loves D&D as much as you do is what you want then God will supply it. but please ask God what he has for you! ask him to take away all the things that are not of him and then just wait and be patient! being patient is very hard! i know! i maybe younger than you but i do understand. in my life time i have crushed over to many guys to count and none of them liked me back. and when i love sum1 i pore my heart out all the way. i waited for them to get that but they were not what God wanted for me. so in sixth grade i cried to God, "give me sum1!! anyone!! but sum1 like me!!" well he did but we were just friends. i found out that i didn't like me after all. i was impatient. but what i only got out of that were sum songs i wrote and memories to be cherished. we are still friends but we don't talk as much. look God has the perfect woman waiting for you. JUST BE PATIENT!!!

Hm. Since I created this thread, my opinions have changed...along with the level of childishness and stupidity I had back then. I don't see why this thread was created, as I really didn't think of such things then...some things have remained the same, though. I will repost them.

1. Christian, as everyone else said.
2. Has the same/very similar interests (kenjutsu or any sort of martial arts is a must-have.)
3. Must be atleast the same height or shorter.

I realize that #3 is a stupid reason, but I can't see myself with someone taller than I. Of course, that is far in the future from now, so it might change. I suppose I am considering this now because I am making other plans for the future, such as college, career...but I also know many other people my age that are doing the same thing.

Well, for those of you who are anime fans...I would define the perfect girl in my eyes as a Christian Naru Narusegawa, and most people say that she couldn't be real, but I bet most people didn't think Spike Spiegel could be real before now did you? ;)

Well....I'm in a sort of sappy mood so I guess I'll reply to the question at hand:

- naturally I'd look for someone who's a Christian. I would say a strong Christian, but recent events in my life have left me with the impression that a gift God has bestowed on me is the ability to help give someone hope and to strengthen their faith. So it doesn't matter if the person's a strong Christian or not, if God will let me use my gift to help someone then I'm perfectly willing.

- doesn't have to like anime or manga or jrock in particular (though it's a plus), but they should be at least tolerant of it. ^_^; For obvious reasons.

- sense of humor is a must.

- Okay, this may sound sappy but I need someone who can give me plenty of hugs. I can go without kissing and the like for a lifetime, but I THRIVE off of hugs. The feeling of someone holding me makes me feel like I'm loved and not alone.

- Willing to let me spoil and adore them. I don't ever plan to put anyone before God in my life, but at the same time, I am by nature a very clingy and dependant person. I need someone who will let me love both them and God with all my heart and my soul. This, I think, is the most important to me. I love taking care of people, and I love letting people I love them, and it's very difficult to detach me once I'm convinced I like you. (this goes for friends or "that special someone")

- I would say "slightly attractive", but I've become convinced that when you love someone, in your eyes they ARE the most beautiful person in the world.

Okay, barring previous posts...

The REAL qualities I'd want in a woman.

1) Christian (dur-hey)

2) Must want NO children

3) Patience to deal with my unending stupidity

4) Wisdom to tell me WHEN I am exhibiting said stupidity

5) Tact to say it NICELY

That's all I can think of. Everything else is superficial and if it really is...

God, I'm going to SHOOT MYSELF for spouting this romantic crap...

...if it really is love, physical appearances don't matter. True love can surpass that.

*Returns to normal*

Though, I'd still really take Hotaru-chan over any real girl ANY DAY.

I know lots of girls that would fit nicely into those parameters, mechana, and be enthralled with # 7. I can't see you being single for very long if you let that list get around. ;)

These are very interesting lists to read, guys. I'm actually impressed with the priorties at most of you are showing.

And Destoryer2000, I wouldn't worry too much about the height thing - that might change if you meet "the one." I know lots of guys whose wives are a few inches taller than they are, or it appears that way because they're almost the same height, but girl shoes make the ladies taller. I actually think it's pretty cute, and in the end it doesn't matter. Not to go all shallow on everyone by using an anime example, but Belldandy is a little taller than Keichii, and I found it rather charming. It didn't change their masculine/feminine relationship roles at all.

I've always been attracted to girls taller than me, which is a feat since I stand a little over six foot. I think it's cool. I may not think so if I was like 5'5" though. I'm really not that picky, though. At least I don't think so, anyone. No one's knocking down my door, either. Wait a minute...

Nope, that was just the UPS guy. No girls, but at least I have the 7th Urusei Yatsura boxset now.

Seeing as I read most of the fifteen pages preceding this and it's the number one topic for discussion among females on my campus.... I suppose I'll answer it.

1) Strong Christian (or at least firm in his belief even if he isn't totally spiritually mature ... eager to grow in his faith)
2)Willing to be the head of the household and take charge as such.
3)Loyal and commited to God and then to me.
4)He's gotta want tons of kids ... tons of 'em ... adopted, not adopted doesn't matter ... but I want a big family.
5)Our relationship ought to bring us closer to God.

Okay that covers the big ones. I guess it would be cool if he did things(like opening doors and the like) that are totally sweet and adorable . If I had to say something physical it would be hair. Just nice hair. I love hair ... preferably red and/or long but it really doesn't matter.

Girl

I have to say this:
1. Has morals (not necessary Christian, although preferably {and Catholic  } but as long as she is ok with me and Jesus and will let me raise the children in the church, its all good.) <--besides, i think interracial is cool.
2. Personality? hmmm.. i like smart girls, that keep you on the edge of your seat ;) . also girls who are nice, but not love-alls, because im an opinionated person.
3. Strong in a mental sense: knows what to refuse and what to accept, not weak under pressure.
4. Fragile in a physical sense: like graceful, beautiful, etc, so i feel like i should just hold and protect her (woah, mushy *shakes it off*)
5. I like brown hair, blue eyes.
6. Not to tall, preferably
7. active as in exercise, not a TV bum (as in cares about her body)
8. as for similar interests, as long as we can do stuff together and we're ok with one anothers hobbies (less its porn or something  ) But i dont want us to be like total clones, cuz then its no fun.
9. Proud of who she is, me, and what she does. I like mentally firm girls, who dont always worry bout their looks, cuz shell look good to me.

sorry so long, but I had to say it all! Like i said im pretty opinionated!
