For me, Windwaker. It's slightly above Ocarina of Time which I adored greatly. Windwaker was exactly the right level of difficulty for me, and I loved just about every element of it. Ocarina of Time's story was superb, but the gameplay was so difficult in parts *cough Water Temple cough* it made it difficult to endear it past that.

I never got to play Windwaker...so I don't know. I'm for Link to the Past all the way!! That one never gets old!! I play it all the time XD

I'll go with Ocarina of Time, however the next one looks to be rather good ^^

Oh, special news: Gamestop now has a reserve sku for the new Legend of Zelda game, so you can reserve it now ^^

I'm guessing this will be a fairly common vote, but I am likewise voting for Ocarina of Time. I loved the storyline and the developed world, and for the time the graphics and gameplay mechanics were superb.

A Link to the Past for me. It would have been OOT were it not for two problems.

1. Water Temple
2. Too much time spent on travelling.

I like to be right into my action which LTTP provides.

WW I despised. No it wasn't the graphics, I quitel ike Cel Shading, it's a unique idea with good possibilities. My prob with WW was the length of the game, it had 6 dungeons... It needed at least 10

Skynes, you're right, I thought it was short also but I loved just about everything else about it! I've played some OOT at my friends house but not enough to be able to have a say about it. My second fav. is Link's Awakening DX It was soooo much fun! But the ending was somewhat sad. Zelda 2 is a pain in the thumb...it is like impossible... I can't even make it to the grand palace with out dying! And because my stupid NES is so old it deleted my file randomly one day.

Zelda 2 was probably the most difficult of the series. The best way to get to the Grand Palace without dying is to move very slowly whenever you enter a scene. First, take out the floating eyes with moving down-slashes; then, slowly work your way to the right. All the projectile throwing lizards target where you will be not where you currently are. It's best to stop, let the projectile past, then run a bit further. When there is lava, the only thing you can do is cast Jump and try not to get hit in midair.

Of course, the Palace itself is difficult. It's annoyingly large, but the most difficult part are the red/blue bird warriors. Then again, I never really got the hang of sword fighting (so you can imagine how happy I was about the final boss).

The Thunder Bird sounded incredibly lame when I heard about it (I had a Zaptos of Pokemon in mind), but the actual boss is pretty cool; overall, I did like Zelda 2 for its rpg elements. I really wish lava wasn't instant death, however.

I play LttP all the time. In my opinion, it was the pinnacle of the series. The graphics and music rocked, the storyline was excellent, and it was hard, but not too hard.

OoT is second on the list, mainly because of the reasons everyone stated above.

WW is actually quite low on my list. It's not because of the graphics. Or the length. No, it's because of the STUPID FREAKIN' AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES TO GET ANYWHERE! :mutter:

I've never played past the first four. But of those, I'd say my favorite is Link to the Past (just for the music), with the original coming in as a close second.

I haven't had the opportunity to play all of them, but A Link to the Past is my favorite  Unfortunately, I traded it to a neighbor :sniffle: (what was I thinking?! :bang: ) Ocarina of Time is my next best.

I LOVED Wind Waker with OoT in a close second. It was such a great game, a little short, yes, but still wonderful. Ocarina of Time is another wonderful one. Never even finished Majora's Mask because it was just that annoying.

Orcarina of Time was my favorite, but it wasn't the first that I beat. I beat Wind Waker first, which is my current runner-up.
I just love the in-depth puzzles that Orcarina had.

I guess I’m alone on this one… But I really liked Oracle of Seasons/ Ages (Seasons being my favorite of the two). If this game was made for the GC rather then in 2D for GB, it would have been the coolest! Being able to change the seasons to change the landscape, Tons and Tons of rings to find/ use, and the ability to share/ trade stuff with friends games .Then when you are all done, pack up your entire game save and send it over to the next installment.

Anyway, that’s just me.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

It was a tough toss-up between Link's Awakening and OoT. The Ocarina won out in the end, though. (But I love them both!)

Wind Waker all the way. Ocarina of Time was good, but it just can't compare to Wind Waker in terms of depth. You can do soo much more in WW, and it's jam-packed with side quests. I've beaten the game once, but I decided to go back to my old file and be a pain in the butt by running through as many side quests as I can. I've helped the Deku sprouts, obtained joy pendants, and I'm currently working on exploring every island. I've got a lot of work to do! ^^

Actually, you aren't completely alone. I believe that there is an extremely high amount of quality in both games (they really function properly as a unit). However, I have not been able to play either to the extent that I would require to place them highest on my list.

Yes, both Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages are worth a buy. I really enjoyed both games a lot. I liked the ending storyline that comes after you beat both games, although I'm sure it'll disappoint some fans. Seasons poses more challenge in regards to the fighting, while Ages poses more challenge in regard to the puzzles.

Oh, and before I forget to answer the question, my favorite game IS Ocarina of Time. Great storyline, "mature" graphics (I didn't like those of Wind Waker), challenging puzzles (I didn't mind that there were parts where I got genuinely stuck for a while. I like my games hard like that), great locations (the Shadow Temple still gives me the creeps, and I still find the Spirit Temple fascinating), and we finally get an "introductory legend" that explained how the antagonism between Link and Ganon originated...

With that, here's to Zelda 2005.

It's hard to pick an overall favorite. For 2D, my favorites are A Link to the Past and Oracle of Seasons. For 3D games, well, I enjoyed playing all of them. Looking forward to the next!

The Oracle games are my favourite Handheld Zelda games. They are 3rd in my list (1st being LTTP and 2nd being OOT), loved the story, loved the dungeons, loved the iteams and loved the whole Ring thing.

I really like all the zeldas. But if I had to pick one i would say Ocarina of Time. I haven't played Wind Waker yet but I plan to. My brother just bought that game, so soon i'll find out which is better :thumb:
