*URGENT* Concerning my ex-girlfriend

Postby Nightshade X » Wed Aug 25, 2004 2:44 pm

Hi guys. I need you all to pray for my ex-girlfriend. If you want to know her name, please PM me for it. I don't want to cause any incident, in case there's a member on this board who may know her and I in the real world. I don't want word getting out to people who don't need to know.

Anyway, I spoke to her mom today (I'm a friend of the family) and I found out that since I last spoke to her, she's been with people she probably shouldn't have been around, doing stuff she really shouldn't be doing, and being places she shouldn't be. She's been away from her home for two weeks now and now there's a warrant out for her arrest.

She hasn't contacted anyone that either her mom or I know and I'm really worried about her. Please, pray that this situation will be resolved soon. I still have some major feelings for her, so you can imagine what it's doing to me. Whatever may happen, I just want her to be safe. Most of all, pray that God's will be done concerning this.

Thanks for all who will undertake this request. You have my deepest gratitude.

I will pray for her.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

I will definately pray, be sure to keep us updated.
Also, I will pray that God gives you peace, I can partially relate to how it feels to worry about a person whom yu still have lingering feelings for, it doesn't feel good. Rest assured though that this person has made her choice, God gave her the gift of free will and she chose how she wanted to use this gift. Her fate is in God's hands now, so don't be burdened to much with her situation, if anything be there to support her family. That way you may find confort in each other, and Christ.

God Bless,
Archan

Ok, first I'd like to thank all of you who posted here. I'd even like to thank all who didn't post on the board, but still took it upon themselves to pray. I do feel much, much better about the whole situation, thanks to all of your prayers. I treasure you all. There's no way I could have been able to deal with all of this alone very well. Here's an update on everything:

Nothing. I haven't heard anything yet. No one's called me or anything, so I'm still in the dark about everything. I may be able find out something if I talk to her younger sister, though. I'm usually able to find things out from her even if I don't ask, but beyond that, we're friends anyway. I just have a need to speak with her, you know, see how she's doing.

Thank you all for your prayers. Please keep it up and I will update you all as soon as I get information.

UPDATE: Apparently, she went home a little while ago. It would seem that things are ok again, except that she's now living with a man who's considerably older than her (at least 20 years, from what I've heard so far). I guess she views him as a rescuer from her previous lifestyle. Admittedly, I am a bit jealous. I mean, she could have said something to me at least once... But that's beside the point. I thank God that, at least, she's alive and maybe well. Everything seems to be ok, but her current living situation does seem to present a danger in my eyes. Please pray that if this path does not lead her to where God wants her, that she would know and act on it.

As for me... I'm happy that she's ok. I am a bit jealous... and a tad heartbroken... I guess I wanted so badly to be her hero that my vision got clouded. I ask for God's forgiveness on that one. I've felt so hopelessly attached to her for so long... I guess my affection toward her just grew into something that I couldn't control. Thankfully, our Lord has been working with me and, finally, I was able to fully let go of my misplaced feelings for her. It was hard, but I now recognize that if we are ever meant to be together again (and this is a near-impossibility), now is definitely NOT the time.

I guess this I need a bit more training in the control of his feelings and emotions. Fortunately, our Lord is faithful and patient. He will take as long as it will take to transform me from a dragon to a knight. One day, I will master these emotions. I just pray that day be sooner than later...

Anyway, thanks for all your prayers. I think it's time I stopped complaining long enough for me to thank you all. ^__^

I saw her last weekend. I was able to talk to her... and the walls of my heart were instantly shattered. It was a very emotional time (meaning I cried, and I almost never cry for anything), and I'm very thankful to God for that time He gave me with her, as short as it was.

Sadly, many of my suspicions have been confirmed, even some I haven't even thought of, and everyone around her can see it. Please... I ask that you keep her in your prayers. She doesn't think she's worthy of something better than what she's going through, but she is. Many have almost completely written her off as a lost cause but, I will never because I know what she is capable of. This fight is not yet over for me. That's what I feel the Lord is saying to me at this time.

Go, be her hero, Nightshade X. And what I mean is stand by her. Don't give up. Be there for her and correct her when she's wrong. Then you will be the hero she needs.

ya know i'm always praying for ya.
"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close
