I recently posted a thread on Tim Burton and thought that it might bring interest towards this topic and thought it appropriate to ask who YOUR favorite directors are.

So... Lay em on me. :)

Quentin Tarantino has done some good work, examples being Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2. Baz Luhrmann is also good, I really liked Moulin Rouge and his version of Romeo and Juliet.

Hitchcock, Burton, and Ridley Scott are all better than Steven Spielberg. I think Ridley Scott is one of the best ever. Here are some of the movies he directed.

Black Hawk Down
Hanibal
Gladiator
G.I. Jane
White Squall
Hot Zone
Thelma Aand Louise
Black Rain
Legend
Blade Runner
Alien
The Duelists

"Heir Kommt Die Sonne." Rammestein
"Now the world is gone, I'm just one. Oh please God help me." Metallica
"Are You Ready?!?" KoRn
"All and all your just another brick in the wall." Pink Floyd.

I think Tim Burton, Steven Speilberg, and Peter Jackson are all amazing directors. :)

Faith is not creating a false reality, but acknowledging God's promises for us.

The dreams I dream for you
Are deeper than the ones your clinging to
Let the old dreams die
Like stars that fade from view
And take the cup I offer
And drink deeply of the dreams I dream for you

Overall, I'd have to say Akira Kurosawa. Some of his films that I've seen include:

Stray Dog
No Regrets for Our Youth
Hidden Fortress
Seven Samurai
Yojimbo
Sanjuro
Throne of Blood
Do Desh KaDen
Ran
Rhapsody in August
Dreams
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Tim Burton and Stanley Kubrick..

Um....do you think Miyazaki would count? XD He's the only person I can think of that I've seen several of his movies and pretty much loved all of them. Well, my dad's a fan of Frank Capra so I've seen a lot of his movies, but while I enjoy Capra's movies I can't say any of them are my favorite...
I'd say PJ, but I've only seen LOTR...

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.
Every New Day - On Distant Shores - Five Iron Frenzy

Nail pierced hands they run with blood
A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me
