How long do you have? This might take a while
First and foremost, it's 1,000,000 times more secure than IE will ever be (just killing ActiveX and running Sun's Java will do tons for IE's security).
Tabbed browsing, rather than open a new browser window for each page you can open new tabs across the top (or bottom) of the browser, each one being a new page. I'm not sure if IE is adding this but I'm pretty sure you can download add-ons for IE that will give it that ability.
Faster and smaller. Nuff said.
Based on Mozilla, which is open source (FireFox is as well isn't it?) It means that anyone can look at the code that makes up the program, fix or update it if they feel the need to (unlike Micorsoft's IE which will now only be updated for XP SP2, if you run anything else, good luck with your life).
Extensions, extensions, extensions.... I've seen everything from card games to editors to the awesome Adblock to well... just about anything.
It's not a creation of the tyrant Gates. The authors are tyring to bring something usefull that people want, how they want it, rather than shove whatever garbage down the throats of people that they feel is great.
Who wants to take over from there?
