Just got this and played for 5 hours solid... something I don't often do with computer games.

All I can say is .. very good, check it out. The hype is right.

I wish my computer was cool enough to run it.

Yeah, I played it at a friends house. It's awesome! I heard the expansion-pack was awesome too. So what kind of dude did you play as?

My character was just a standard human warrior with a longsword. Although I later switched to katana, cos those swords are cooler..

But yeah, awesome game. I'll probably start designing modules for it when I've finished - i've got an idea for a Narnia module.. .

too

I've got the expansion pack but it's still in shrinkwrap - I'm waiting to finish the main game first. It does look really cool though

I think it would be awesome if we had a CAA party of NWNers. I'd offer to be the DM, except the Mac version doesn't have the toolset. :(

Great idea Rashiir! All we need to do is find enough people with the game.

I'll join, just give me until next weekend (12th) to buy the game first.

P.S. Does the game use 3rd or 3.5 rules?

I'd buy it, but I just spent all my money on Soul Calibur 2. Sorry dudes. I haven't heard much about this, but it kinda reminds me of Diablo.

I'm pretty sure 3rd. I didn't even know there was a 3.5.

I saw it at my hometown's game store before I left, some things changed. The ranger is a whole lot better, and the damage for all the weapons are down by at least 1 die type (greatswords deal d10s in 3.5). I didn't like it, I prefer the 3rd.

I doubt that most dnd-er's will be using 3.5 for a while.. i mean, we all gotta get the new books first! NWN is definatly 3E anyway, the longsword does d8 damage from what I remember

i'm proud that i finished the game with all the side quests finished as well.

and it follows 3rd rule set. it's still limited though, e.g. you can't lick trees and such.

oh yeah, it's nothing like Diablo... you'll be surprised :)

Just some money making scheme that the WoTC is doing me thinks, there really isn't any point to the errata, I mean, why should consumers have to pay money to correct their mistakes, (if they're even mistakes at all, greatsword dealing d10 isn't too cool) when they should be free on the net.

They will be free on the net. Eventually.

OK. I'm gonna write a mod on this game and run anyone through it that wants to. I do have a real job, so I won't have that much time to set it all up. What kind of game would you guys want?

hmm, try making a stone-age mod. i haven't seen any games recently that relied on when people were barely humans.

but i can tell you, although developing the mod will be easy, it'll take a long, long time to make it. good luck ;)
