Ladies... could u please help me with this??

Talk about anything in here.

Um....how are you going to learn a person's true nature if you don't talk to them and make an effort to get to know them and where they're coming from? Doesn't that sound backwards? Christ didn't hover in the wings when it came to sinners did he? He went to them and got to know them. Your attitude towarsd a person who is decked in supposedly satanic symbols doesn't seem Christlike either...how do you know the symbols are satanic? The pentagram was actually used as a symbol for wholeness and health and was used by early military medics on their kits.

We're supposed to love everyone aren't we? :( How can we say we love when we decide not to interact with someone simply because of how they dress or what we assume about them? And how can we dare to vocally witness to them when our actions towards them are opposite what we want to share?

>_<! Sorry, sorry, I hope you don't read this as a flame. I'll pm you if this isn't the place for a discussion on this.

No, you're right about that witness to everyone, because we're dead to the world anyway but alive in Christ. It just that you dont want to get too 'connected' with sinners and then lose your love for Christ .... obviously thats no good.

But yeah in this case I dont think shes interested in hanging out to learn more about Christ and what he's done... she will anyway though cause I can't help myself leading the conversation towards God, I find all other conversations "lacking" to a certain degree.

Cool thanks again.

Update.

Okay so after a couple missed calls we meet up for a thickshake (i wasn't gonna spend 3 bucks on a coffee, when i can get a milkshake). And sat on a bench and chated about kerry and bush for about 30 mins (even though we are in Australia) and then a little about uni work and up coming exams and then I just said "look, I can't talk very long without bringing God into it" so i asked what she though about JC etc and shes more unhappy with the institution of the church than Jesus himself. I gave her 'The Case for Christ' by Lee Strobel to read (its like my own personal evangelising tool) and we parted after an hour and 20 odd mins.

She sat kinda close, I wasn't uncomfortable or anything so i think it should die down slowly... but then that evening she asked if I wanted to go to the Perth Royal Show with her and her friends (kinda like Oktoberfest without beer and with show-bags, rides and cows, auctions of bulls etc, but it totally sucks to the OKfest, can't compare the 2). I said no, got to do my essay. So hopefully she will read The Case for Christ book and leave it at that.

Thanks for all your advice, I didn't actually need to say anything like I would have thought in the end. I'll be gald when its all over :)

hmmm...wow... deep topic... i think just that if you don't like her... try not to do anything to lead her on. I once liked a guy, and most certainly led me on, and then it ended up that he liked someone else. Just be carefull.. and pray about it. that is the best advice I can give I guess....... sorry......Just trust God....

I'd say so. And, Destroyer, run fast. ;)
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
