prayer request for head

Postby Jaltus-bot » Fri Sep 10, 2004 10:13 am

Please pray regarding reoccuring headaches that I get. This has been the case for a while. It's usually on the left side although on rare occasion on the right and involves the eye/area around the eye and the back same side of the neck. It feels like it is related to muscle tesion and interfers with reading. Tiger balm (like Ben-gay (sp?)) doesn't provide much of a lasting effect and excedrine makes some difference but not aleve.
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Asdvadz hedut ullah! (W. Armenian, "May God bless you!")

It's cosplay, get used to it.

I also have recurring headaches, reason being is I have a caffeine addiction. If I don't drink a Mountain Dew within a couple of hours of waking up I get severe migraines. Whoops, that reminds me...anyway I hope you get better and I will pray for you.

I'll be praying too. :)

I had daily headaches for about 10 months that were finally fixed with a few visits to the chiropractor. There are so many causes for headaches, it can be difficult to figure out exactly what the problem is.

Hey, Sheherazade, I have a suggestion for you. I've been reading how good for you water really is and that if you get headaches then drinking more water will help you out.

I'll still pray for you. ^_^
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

I will pray for you. By the way, I heard the same thing about the drinking water -- you should try it out. ^_^

I, too, suffer from frequent headaches. As a matter of fact, it's more common for me to have one than it is for me not to have one. I will remember you in my prayers.

I will definitely pray for you sheherazade. *hugs*

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

I have good news and bad news. It's probably a muscle spasm in my neck, clinomastoid muscle or something. Bad news, the best solution is a massage.

Oh, well it's good that you found out what it is. Can it be fixed by a chiropractor??
Man, I were there, I could give you a massage. I'm pretty good at it, but I'm not a professional. Oh, well. ^_^

My dad gives my mom backrubs, it would be weird to ask him. My brother and I have more of a strong yet not as close bond. Again, it would be wierd to ask him. I don't want to have to ask that of my mom. she does so much.

My dad gives me neckrubs a lot, so it's not weird to me. Go ahead, give it a try. ^_^

Have you been to a doctor yet? I know you're busy lately (from your other threads), but you should go. I'll pray for you, and I hope you feel better soon!

I just saw the doctor today. That's how I found out that it is actually an evil muscle spasm that causes headaches. Thanks :)
