Why not?

Postby Ashley » Mon Aug 11, 2003 7:17 pm

Well, we've been laboring over getting a cafepress shop up and running for a while now, and I figure by now, heck why not? Be warned we may be changing some of the goods (like bags and such), but I see no reason you guys shouldn't enjoy getting some stuff if you want. Oh, and just so you know, we get no profits from this. Whatever is charged goes directly to cafepress...in the future, we may consider upping things for a profit to provide stuff like convention scholarships and the like, but for the moment, it's not. Anyway, enjoy the site, which, btw, is:

Cool. I see some stuff that I may buy later on for sure, when I get the money or get my parents to buy for me which is not a bad idea (do I sound spoiled? I'm not, just wishful thinking).

Good times. I saw the store on Cafe Press the other day and I was like "How long has this been here and why didn't I know about it already!?!"

That's awesome! I got a kick out of the Chibi-Ash logo. I'm planning on ordering a shirt. Yes, it would be nice if some of the $ could go to support CAA. What exactly is a convention scholarship?

A convention scholarship would be a way to help offset/pay for the cost of convention tickets to anyone that would want to attend a local one. Of course, you'd have to have your parent's permission (if applicable), and in exchange, it'd be nice if we could ask people that benefit from it to take a few flyers with them or something.
The thing is, if we go for-profit, a lot of things change. Like how we are treated legally (tv commercials and all), who's bank accoutn the money would go to, how to manage it, etc. etc. etc.
Something to pray about, yes indeed, but for the moment, it's a "not at this time" sort of deal.

Cool stuff!

I might go for black as well. I don't usually go for white t-shirts. Actually, I don't usually go for t-shirts with logos at all, but for CAA I'd make an exception.

Weeell, for a freebie store, nope no black. But we're thinking of updating to premium soon anyway.

Hey Ash you know that angel dude you had in your school newspaper awhile back. That would make for a cool logo.
