A few requests...

Postby Destroyer2000 » Tue Sep 14, 2004 8:29 pm

I am aware that I post here often, and it makes me feel selfish. Even so, I post here because it lightens my worries and cares. It feels as if I have help to deal with them. Anyway, I have a few requests...

First: Hurricane Ivan. Not only for myself, but all the other people who have to suffer the effects of it. If it comes the way it is looking like now, my family and I will get some hard winds. We live in a double wide trailer. but if the weather becomes too bad, we will go to my grandmother's house, who lives...I'd estimate maybe 50-100 feet away. Anyway, their house is big enough for us to stay in if we lose our home to the storm. Of course, I would like for all you to pray that that doesn't happen. I have lived here for around 8 years, and many memories have been made in this house. My mother and stepfather have almost finished paying it off, so they can add on to it and make it sturdier. I do not know how much insurance will pay, but we have many valued possessions here. I don't believe that the storm will do much damage here, as hopefully it will lose power once it hits the ground. There are two rotten trees near my grandmother's house though, and if you recall, I mentioned in a thread a while back that a large portion of one of them had fallen. When we were hit by Francis a week ago or so, maybe two weeks, it took off another piece of the trees. If this storm is as indeed as powerful as they say it will be, they might fall completely...onto my grandmother's home. Thankfully, if they do, it will be on a back storage room, and possibly the back hallway and bathroom.

My second request is that you all will pray for me. As of 11:26 AM tomorrow, I shall be 15. I am going to take the test to get my learners license, and I am sincerely hoping that I pass that test.

I apologize for the thread being this long. Thank you.

Sure man you got my prayers. I know some people down there who are right in the path of the storm so I'm praying for them as well.

1. It's not selfish.
2. We care about you. If there is something going on in your life that we can pray about, we want to know so that we can pray about it.
3. As Swordguy has mentioned, Galatians 6:2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
4. I will pray

I will most certainly pray for you, Destroyer! Keep praying and we will be there for you. *hugs*

(Psst... It's no biggie about the learner's license. I flunked out on that once and went back the next day to take it, heehee! I'm sure you'll do just fine!)

Lord, may we take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the storm has passed. I pray that your hand would be over your child and his family, and protect their home as well as mine. Give us your peace that passes understanding, that we may weather the storm and that our hearts would not be burdened. Help us all to lay our burdens at Your feet, that we would walk and not stumble. Amen.

I wish you well on your test! Hope you do well and God Bless. :)
