Japanese Pastors and Missionaries

Postby TroutNinja » Mon Sep 13, 2004 8:39 am

Uhh, I guess I'll put this here.. In November I'm going to be going on a mission trip to Japan to help with a pastor's conference. The main prayer request is that the preperation and execution would go as smoothly as possible so that the pastors and church members would have the largest chance to have God speak to them. Pray especially for John Mehn as he is the person who is organizing the conference.

I'd also like to add a request for a pastor I got to know last year. Kishio-sensei has been pastoring a church in Nizi-Shiki (I think that's how you spell it) for about three years, and last year when we visited he had a total of one member, not including his family. I believe that someone was saved on the last visit so that number may have doubled. Pray for him that he would keep his endurance and would be better able to serve those around him. Also pray for the hearts of the Japanese people, only one half of one percent are christian.. last I checked at least. Mehn-sensei said that the spiritual battle there is very hard, and that during some of their religious weeks you can feel the spiritual oppression.

I will definitely pray. ^___^ What a blessing for you, TroutNinja.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I hope your trip goes really well, and I'll pray for you -- and them.
