School starting...

Postby Slater » Mon Sep 06, 2004 2:49 am

ARRRRRGGGH!

Yes summer is over.
and I'm stressing as I enter my senior year...
Some of my classes will be very easy, but it's my literature and physics classes that worry me. Literature is scary because it's the hardest teacher in the school hands down. I know because I've had him for 2 years already. Physics because we're gonna do a college course in it.
Also, my Bibleteacher's grading system sucks horribly -_- ... don't ask, just trust me that it's not fair at all.

That wouldn't be bad except I get high SAT scores and stuff, at one point the highest in the entire school. That MAY sound like a good thing, but not to me. My mom won't accept anything less than a 3.5 GPA from me, and as you may know it is very hard to get those in Private Christian Schools. I may be blessed with a lot of knowledge, but I'm cursed to look like I know more than I do...

I lay these worries on the lord so that I'll stop stressing, but when I forget that... you know, it doesn't work so well, lol. so ja... let's pray that us kids don't get 33ten

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

I will most certainly pray.

And remember - there are many knowledgable individuals on the CAA. I'm sure many of them are willing to help! ;)
