Terrorist situation in Russia

Postby sunet » Wed Sep 01, 2004 8:24 pm

Hi guys

I don’t know if you know about it, but in Russia an elementary school has been invaded by terrorists that are now holding children & teachers hostage.

i also hear that some hostages have already been killed

i don't know too much about the situation, but i found some links with a litle more info:

so i just want to please request it that we pray for these people & their families. i can't even begin to imagine how they must feel right now.

Volt - God will avenge, calm down.
I'll pray.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

Is it over? I have been listening to Virgin Radio (UK) all week on the internet.
It was always on the top of their news list for the day. But I haven’t been listening today.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Guah! I just heard another update on the radio, I guess it’s not totally over.
They said that it has come to a bloody end, with the ringleader barricading himself in the schools basement. They think he may still have some hostages. But it sounded like they had started killing more of the hostages, so the law enforcement decided to move in.

I don’t know for sure. What transpired, but it I don’t think things worked out quite the way they wanted it to…

*keeps on praying*

well, it seems like everything is basically over now.

thank you to everyone that prayed.

although nothing will ever be the same now. so many people died. & i can't begin to imagine how bad the children who survived must feel right now. & the families of those who lost someone.

I was so sure I made a post on this last night...Oh I remember the power went out on me before I could finish.

God we pray for all the people who died yesterday and thier grieving families. May the Chechen terrorists come to realize that violence will not help them achieve their means. Please help the Russians and the Chechens consider working out their disputes peacefully.
