I played the demo version too. Played it at EB. It handles the same as the dreamcast version, only took a few seconds to get the feel for a different controller. I also want to play it, though i hate the fact that they are putting three different unlockable charicters on three different systems. I dont know blatent greed and money makeing scheems just irritate me. otherwise they didn't seem to ruin the series, thats all im looking for. And as far as the three unlockable charicters, Spawn is the best. The "fan girls" will hate me but he'd break Link over his knee, and Hiatchie or however you spell his name, spawn would break that guys ageing hip.

I've played a GC demo of it and I can't wait for the full version to come out later this month. And Link could beat Spawn and Heihatchi cause he's got...umm...well he just could. Of course I might possible be biased in that opinion. :)

Whats up with Spawn... that comic orginally had a set power amount for spawn and they just dropped it... he should have been drained by comic 20. :)

I liked it, though like you, I haven't played the full version. I'm not much of a fighter player, which meant that I couldn't own the computer like I should have been able to. Once I bother getting blocking down...

Yes, he does, and that's why I'm gonna get this game for my cube. What's the official release date again?

Hate you? Not quite... :rolls_eye Actually I was reading a gaming magazine and they said Spawn was the best too. Although they did say there was just something so cool about playing Link. ;) I might buy the gamecube version. Cause I don't have an X-box and I have heard the PS2 version is the worse of the 3 (long loading time, graphics are worse, and stinky character)

Ya the game cube version seems the best. Fair graphics, good speed, a nice character. And its cheeper then buying an X-Box.

Spawn vs. Link... interesting thought. Of course, it's irrelevant, as they exist in different worlds, with different laws...

i got it for GC today and I'm liking the gameplay so far. So far I've beaten the arcade mode with Link(I love Link!) and Maxi. I wish I had someone to play the versus mode with, but I'll just have to wait for that.*sigh*

Coolness! :thumb:
Yeah, it'd be cool if they included a online mode. I heard the A.I. was lacking.

I can't wait for tomorrow!

How good is the single player mode?
I'm not much of a fighting game fan or expert myself but the fact that it's a very high-profile game and that a lot of people have been looking forward to it makes it too hard to ignore.
Because I don't have a lot of people to play multi-player with I usually look at the single player capabilities of a game.

Got it Wednesday, played it some (beat the arcade mode with a few of the characters, even played through the Arcade Extra with one)....

Have to admit that while Spawn didn't interest me, he can kick some fanny!

Now if I can just get the characters to consitantly do the moves they list, it would be great

JOY!

I just got it this evening at about 6 PM EST and have been played until about 11 PM EST. It's soo addictive and awesome! I've beat arcade mode with Nightmare, Kilik, Link, Raphael, Talim, and that undead pirate dude and extra arcade with Link. I'm also at level 23. I love this game! Why must my friends and I go to school tomorrow? :) I want to try out multi-play!

Anyways, so far my best three characters are Link, Kilik, and Raphael. What's everyone else's?

Is it just me or did Mitsurugi lose his one move where he does two windmill slashes ( in the Dreamcast SC 1 it was forward, forward, H+V slash) or am I not doing something right?

Anyways, Raphael, Kilik, and Cassandra are the my top 3 in that order. Also, I have the PS2 version ( I dunno if it's true with the other versions), where you can press L1 and get H+V slash, makes it easy to do combos and such :) Though I do have to admit though, I wish they put someone else in there other than Heihachi.

Yeah, they should have done a Final Fantasy character, like Auron.

That would have been an extremely cool idea. I'd have really liked to fight as Auron. Now you have me thinking about his stances and techniques...

After playing it for 4 hours straight, I can officially say that my preferred character of Seung Mina has been replaced by Talim. Necrid is also a blast to use. If you're a button masher, he's the one I'd recommend. I also love the fact that you can go through and find/win more weapons and characters. And is it just me, or is Voldo even more revolting in this one?

Yeah, but I'd vote for Sephiroth :)

I agree, Voldo is revolting, but his second costume makes him a little better, though not by much.

Yeah, his last costume makes him look like the alien from, well, Alien.

O yeah, I've unlocked everything now! I mean everything! I've never completed a game so fast and conitued to play it, before.

BTW, I'll be more then glad to answer any SC II questions.

Sephiroth is fine too. It's all good. This is just an off hand comment, but that move of Raphael's where he skewers the opponent looks really painful.

I don't think I'll get it. The girls don't wear bras and have huge wedgies. I'll stick with Tekken.

Ah, the Queen's Guard! I love that sword. You can purchase it in EXTRA CHAPTER 2. If I recall correctly, It's about 9,000 gold or so. Now, to unlock EXTRA CHAPTER 2 you have to complete SUB-CHAPTER 4 on the second time around. Also, in EXTRA CHAPTER 2 you purchase everyone's ultimate weapon. Does that help or do you require additional help?

Ivy's non-navy looking outfit is the worst of it that I've seen so far, but it's a very valid issue none-the-less.

Still, it's pretty fun... considering it's my 1st fighter game.
