How to draw?

Postby Azier the Swordsman » Wed Sep 01, 2004 7:00 pm

I'll be the first to admit: I can't draw to save my life. But, I would really like to learn, but I have no idea how to start. Any reccomendations, books, ect.?

Take a class. I just started one today (I bet I draw worse than j00) and books don't really help unless you have the basics down. A good teacher (mine has had to make a living off of his art, and he's very good) will show you the basic core skills inherent to all drawing. Books can't do that, not any that I've seen anyway. Invest in lessons, it's worth it.

I would love to invest in actual lessons and sit in a classroom, but I just don't have the time or a car of my own. Once I'm done with highschool I may look into it.
