Yep, that's what it be. =/ Personally I wouldn't invest in it, since I could be putting other things in that slot, but it's your choice.

Wow all this talk about Sins. I wonder if because we are getting new places then we will get new pet options. I saw that one of the new monsters will be a baby lepoard! I would so love one of those as a pet! So cute! ;)

The "new skills" for wizzards for the advanced job classes pretty much stink. :( But now I'm almost motivated to make my thief into a sin after hearing you two talk!

I had heard something about High Wizards getting a skill that allows you to set up a chain of three spells that would cast back to back, but I don't see it on that page. =/

 And if you couldn't tell, yes, I'm a sin obsessee. x3

I have a Crit Sin now. =D His name is Antagonist. (now i can't play a trick on Myrrh). it only took 4 days to get to Sin, at only a few hours each day. so maybe 12. not bad. it is cool to see the red poping damage, but it seems weaker than duel dagger... hmm...
Suggestions on what skills you have found to be useful Kokoro??? oh and my friend found me a bunny band for only 300K. =D seems he can find anything for a good price.

Weaker than dual dagger, but at least you won't have to sacrifice the 15 aspd for dual wielding. =P

Skills I've found seful. Well naturally I put 10 points into Katar mastery. Sonic blow is okay, it's kinda helpful if you need to deal 5k+ damage in quick succession, but it misses a lot. Cloaking is fun. People say it's useless, but it's fun to play with and it's saved my butt a few times. No more than 3 points into that one, though. Grimtooth, sure, get it, there's nothing better sins can do with their sp. I actually find Poison react and venom dust to be extremely useful. I managed to put off buying an elemental katar for a long time in favor of finding monsteres weak to poison and poison enchanting. (I finally gave in and bought a wind and fire katar, if you're wondering) Venom dust is THE assassin skill for WoE. One castle seige that stands out in my mind is when my guild was attacking a Prontera castle. I stood outside the door, ran inside, venom dusted and ran back out. We had guildies stationed inside who attacked the people that came through poisoned.

so then a max lvl Venom Duster? and do you know how much the Crit number on the status menu should be? it seem really low and luck doesn't make it go up much. how high do you have to get the Crit number to do Crits almost all the time?

I got stuck with level 7 venom dust, but if you can manage to max it, power to you!

And to get your actual crit rate for an assassin, you have to take the number in the stat window and double it. ^_^ So 50 crit in the stat window is all you need to hit the crit cap, which is 95%

@_@ only 50 you say?? that is so high... that would take a ton of luck and some.
your stat build shows getting a total of 70. will that come out to around 50 crit?

Venom Duster seems like a PVP skill, i wonder if i will ever even be in a guild with this Sin. would it still be uesful for MVPing or stuff like that?
also if you use an elemental katar is that gonna double the damage even with crits?
well thanks for all the advice and answers Kokoro.

Most natural crit sins don't hit crit percentages above 60% or so unless they're using a triple critical jur. But with elemental katars against the right monster you can hit for more damage with just 50% crit than you could with a triple crit and 95% crit. (I've tested this. xD) Usually elemental katars deal 75% to 100% extra damage versus a monster. (it depends. you can probably check an RO monster database to see how much extra damage you'll be dealing)

Venom duster probably would be useful for MvP. Poison reduces defence and damages a monster over time, so I would imagine that it would have some use, especially against an MvP with high vit or defence.

^_^ Hey there Destiny, nice to meet you!

I personally don't play many characters that need tanks (my Sakray ones are a merchant and a mage) but I'll be sure to contact you in game. Which, heh heh, in all truths, might not be anytime soon. I just started an archer on Loki and I'm desperately trying to level him to bard before the summer's over. ^_^;

 Yeah, I think I'm really going to take a liking to some of the bard's skills. I plan to make a name for myself in PvP with Unbarred Ocatve. (Level 5: 40% change to freeze all opponents on the screen)

^_^; Well if you want a bard you'll have to start a male account, I guess (yes, I play a guy. >.<; I don't want perverts hitting on me and I didn't like the female sprites). I kinda wish you could choose though. It would be interesting to see a male dancer, and a female bard would be more....clothed than a dancer.

i haven't really had a chance to play too much. i did a pointless little quest in Amatsu with my monk. who knows... i think you have to go on a quest to get to the dungeon. it was late so i never really found it but it was fun in a way. so many people wandering around, kinda festive. i will have to check on the monsters. there are atleast 9 new emoticons. some are funny. =D i wil post when i know more.

so my Sage goes to the clock tower... and that book moster thing flys up out of no where and keeps hiting me for around 400 damage... so yes, i think they may be swaping monster locatons... making everything easy for us, huh? -_-
it was kinda funny, at first i was like "that punk sure is moving fast! @_@ oh well.

=/ Going to be harder to level up my pre-Rogue and pre-Knight now, since I'm assuming Hunterflies have hit Geffen 1 now. >.<;

Oh well, I might take my assassin up to Clock Tower after Amatsu is implemented on the main servers and have some fun with Ridewords and Mimics.

^^; Yeah, I wish the monster relocation hadn't happened, but some people in kRO say afterwards they couldn't imagine having things any other way. =/ On the upside, Glast Church, and I believe Glast Chivalry will remain unchanged, so levelling my higher level characters won't be TOO much of a problem. Graveyard will be getting a higher Wraith spawn rate (GIMME MANTEAU! >O<). I'm also interested in exploring the new Glast prison and laying the smackdown on a few Injustices. (can you tell where I spend most of my time?)

^_^; So I guess this means I'll just have to level my bard and my assassin up to level 99 instead of starting some new characters. Oh! And look what I ran into today in Prontera

Lol, I recommend clocktower very highly now if your character is high enough! All the low level mages, hunters, and acos are gone so there are a lot more clocks to go around. ;) My Wizzard can last very long in there, but I just have to keep my teleport clip on cause those ridewords and mimics sure kill me fast! That lag isn't nearly as bad in there now either with all the people gone.

I'm really missing the hode map though. It was so fun to snipe the hodes with my mage. And the aigrope (err the centipede things) map is different now too. :waah!:

I'm not sure why they made these changes. Personally I think it's just going to encourage people to use tanks and leech and do cheating mvp parties even more. Especially with the new jobs eventually coming.

Whoo-hoo, no lag in Clock Tower! =D I can't wait for that part! I'll probably go and lurk the lower levels - I have more trouble with mobs of Alarms than I do with Ridewords or Mimics.

=/ I'm just sad that they're taking Argiopes away from my Bard.

Hello... i'm fairly new to the game... i have a level 6 thief and he's all i have. Any ideas of good places to level up? Thanks!
God bless you all,
Jonathan

Edit: Some character classes refer to a god alot. Are they referring to the one, true God or a false fantasy one?

Usually I start my melee characters (Thief/Swordsman/Battle Acolyte) out on Porings, then move up to Rockers, then to Mt. Mjoliner or the Prontera Culverts.

To attempt to answer your other question: Ragnarok Online is based on Norse mythology. There is an NPC that mentions the chief deity of the RO world is the Norse god, Odin. However, Priests seem to be modelled after Catholic priests, so I suppose it's up in the air. Either way, RO isn't a religious game, and it's makers throw around Christiany/Catholocism, old Norse lore, and Asian religions, just like other games and anime do.

Yup that pretty much says it. :( Actually I'm glad they don't make religion a big thing in it, otherwise I might feel uncomfortable playing it if it had a lot of asian religion in it.

And I'm going to have a Sin soon! :jump: We should start a "CAA Assasin Club" or something  And Kokoro Daisuke gets the Amatsu patch tonight! Although actually I haven't been there myself so I have no idea how good it is, lol. The weapon sprites are awesome though, at least in my opinion! I love being able to see my Wizzard's Arc Wand. ;)
