Halo:Combat Evolved problames need help!!!!!

OK i just got Halo for PC, Campain plays fine, but i cant get multiplayer online to work no matter how hard me and my dad try!!!!! When ever I click multiplayer then click internet it says that i need an update! It also says there is one available buuuuuuttt...... I CAN FIND THAT STUPID UPDATE ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!! I've searched left and right up and down!!!!! I've found a few put none of them work!!!!!!!!! Has this ever happened to you??? PLease I need your help!!!!! And if you think anything else might be wrong please tell me!!!!!!!!! I am seriously stressed right now.

ok guys thanks for the help, but say that it should autoupdate won't cause it isn't auto updating. And I know this is a stupid question but how do i use patch v1.04?

something good to keep in mind is if you downloaded it off the internet or got it any other way thats illegal (like I tried way-back-when), the update will kill your Halo.exe file... heh.

All right, download the file to your desktop or a place you can find easily. Once downloaded, double click the file. (it’s a .exe) An install wizard will pop up and walk you through the install process, like the Halo install. You’re done!

What's it do... well, 1.04 fixes a nasty crash bug. Also, it's fixes a few other crashes, cuts down team killing online, and a few other things I can't remember of the top of my head. Generally, patch = your friend. :thumb:
