OK, don't brush this off just cause its about an animal. We had to put our cat to sleep last thursday and it was extremeley hard fro the family, especially me cause he was my cat. Just please pray that we will find comfort as he was my best little buddy.

I don't think it's an insignificant request, no. When my cat (who we'd had for eighteen of his nineteen plus years of life) had to be put to sleep, I was pretty ruined for months, and I still feel very sad when I think about it even though it was the kindest thing. (Imagine how my dad felt, since being the veterinarian he was the one who had to do it.) So I'll keep you and your family in prayer, definitely.

I have a special place in my heart for animals. I hate it when I have to help put some of the really sick animals to sleep at the vet.:(

If it's a family pet they are always a part of the family - even if they do not communicate like humans. Animals are prone to emotions, too, so that makes them even the more lovable. So I thoroughly understand how you -- and your family -- feel right now, KisaTohru.

I will pray for you and your family. *huggles*

Thank you all so much!
He was a very special cat and my first one.
He was a stray we found in a hurricane and we had him for 9 years. He travled to Australia and back with us and lived with FIV and then this cancer he died of . . . He was a survivor. I get sad when I think about him even trying to remeber the good things, I miss him alot.
He is also special cause I had prayed to God forever to please give me a cat, and then this lil guy shows up! He was a definite God send ^^

*hugs Kisa* I'll pray for you, Kisa. I know how it feel to lose a special pet, although mine was a hamster. I still have my cat, but he's like, 12 now, so he's getting a little old.

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

My kitty is like a son to me--probably the closest thing I'll ever have to one--and losing him would hurt no less than any other member of my family. I definitely understand how you're hurting and will pray for your comfort.

I'm an animal lover myself, so I completely understand. I'll pray.

I'll pray. It hurts to lose a friend, and an animal can be a friend too...especially one that you've loved for a long time.

I understand too, Kisa, both losing a long-lived pet and unexpectedly losing a younger one. It's very hard. I will pray for you and your family. *hug*

I know how you feel. I haven't had to put a pet to sleep, but I've had four cats, and they all got run over, one by one. It was really hard for me. I'll pray for you.
