Prayer for Depression in General

I don't post here often.

Let's just say, that thread I made in general a couple of weeks ago about self-destructive urges? I gave into them and spent several hours in the hospital last week.

And, I'm still like - I am... and am not sure I want to get help. I want to pull myself out of this deperssion, and I really do want to live, but... *sigh.* Every time I seem to do something a little bit good for myself, I turn around and do something to make me hate myself again.

wow that was straing i was just looking this verse because it was my one of my faverates and was still saved as my copy so there.

anyway God does have a plan for you don't give into the decite of the devil he is the one who comes to kill steal and destroy. Trust in God He will pull you out of it. pray pray pray pray and pray i will be praying for you too

*Hugs* It will be ok Haibane, really, it will. And please, don't hate yourself. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Our father in Heaven does not hate us, neither ought we to hate ourselves.

Believe me I struggle with the same thing, even now, but that's when I need to turn to the word of God and His promises, to reassure myself that He is still there, He'll always love me no matter what I've done, and that He'll never leave me.

I'm sorry to hear about what's happened, but I do commend you for asking for prayer. I takes a lot of guts to let others know when you're hurting, and I commend you for that. If you can get some Christian friends or counselors to talk to as well, I really encourage you to. It's ok to ask for help, it really is. This is something you almost never hear in our self-sufficient culture, but it needs to be said.

Humble yourself before the Lord, and he will lift you up. He loves you, and your brothers and sisters in Christ love you. Don't give up ok. *Hugs*

I'm praying for you as well.

However, I would agree with everyone else in hoping you not do that to yourself again, please? there are people whom care about you, and if you hurt yourself you would be hurting them and us as well. We do cae, and most of all God cares, He always does and He's aware of the burden layed on your heart and the deparation you feel, and He still cares.

Just talk with Him, talk with Him as if your talking to someone right next to you, and you'll be surprised as to how you'll feel afterward. I just don't want you to hurt yourself, not just physically, but spiritually as well. We are all here for you....praying.

I will defiently pray for you! I know what its like to be depressed since I'm depressed as well. I havn't hurt myself yet or tried to self-mutulate which is a good thing though. I will pray that you can overcome those desires and that God will lay his feeling hand on you. Depression sucks, no doubt about it but nothing is impossible with God

I want you to know that I really am here for you if you ever need anything (and I am including material needs), all you have to do is ask. I pray for you and several other people on this board everyday.
