so I stood up for my faith in my LJ, and I kind of feel bad for offending someone that I thought was a friend, but at the same time I won't retract what I've said because it's the truth.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, pray for the girl and also pray for me.

I'll pray that these people see the Truth.

And may God bless you, ShiroiHikari.

I'll pray. Interestingly enough, that was the most comments I've ever seen on a single LJ entry.
Our lives are but a vapor, let us not let waste our time and breath on vanities, but let us spend ourselves for the Kingdom, seeking a better resurrection.

I really do feel bad for offending people...was it really the right thing to do? I mean, I could have turned someone away from God. what do you all think?

Here's what you need to do:
1. Boldly proclaim the truth in the best way you know how.
2. Learn the truth better. I'm not saying you are wrong or don't know the truth, just that we all need to learn it better. Read the Bible constantly and take every opportunity to learn more through reading, Bible studies, etc. The greatest weapon we have is to know what we believe and why we believe it.
3. Learn to proclaim the truth better. Try not to be argumentative or overly blunt. Simply state the facts, but the way you do that depends upon whom you are talking to.

It sounds to me like you are striving to do these things and the rest is not up to you. If your friend is going to be offended, then so be it. Ultimately, she is the one responsible for making that choice. All you can do is help her get the most data she can get so her decision is an informed one.

Father, speak through ShiroiHikari. Help her to grow and be open to Your words and Your guidance. Bless her efforts so that they bare a harvest that can barely be reaped.

Amen.
