future doubts and depression

Postby Hitokiri » Sun Aug 08, 2004 12:34 pm

I'm kinda doubting my future and worrying over it while getting depressed cause I'm leaving YG. Youth Group (YG) is basically my life-line in a way. We have such a unity and Ive been there since 7th, its sad to go. Plus some of my firends I've known for years and years ar eleaving to go across the U.S.

Just pray for me.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are feeling depressed and everything. I was depressed for years until one day my pastor prayed for me. I'll pray for you, though.

Just put your trust in the Lord, good things come to those who wait on Him, and remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength. God bless you.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

It's hard to leave friends...I'll pray for you.

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

Father,
I lift up Hitokiri to You. Show him Your mercy, give him Your peace. The transition from high school to the rest of your life is a tough one. People are not as close. It takes more work to maintain relationships. Father, help Hitokiri to make that transition, safe and secure in the knowledge that there are no permanent partings among Your children. I pray that You will guide Hitokiri into this next stage of life and You continue to bless him with friendship and support in his walk with You.

Amen

I'll pray for you. I've recently gone through the same thing. It's a massive shock going from highschool to the "real world." Not knowing what in the world your doing or where you'll be in the next 5 or 10 years. Also, leaving youth group was tough for me as well. I had gone to that church since I was less than a year old. I still get to see them and stuff, and I help out and all. Maybe you could check for similar opportunities with your group. Just helping out with leadership and stuff. Also, not saying you will, but many people do outrageous things during this little transition in their life. Just stay strong in God, and He'll give you direction!

Yes, change is hard, and you're at a stage in life where much of it will be going on all at once. But God knows the desires of your heart and He has a place in mind that only you will be able to fill. Leaving a youth group is a painful thing, but now you have the chance to utilize what you've learned and see God work exclusively in your life. I'll be praying that you will find your place.

Yeah, I understand how you feel. I worry sometimes about my future and where I'll be in life a few years from now. But from the experiences I had in the recent past I know that if I rely on God everything will work out. I'll pray for you as well.

I'll pray for you. I praise God that you were able to go to a youth group at all, and be fed and ministered to. So many Christians, me included, did not have the advantage of a youth group. You are blessed to have had it for years, and for that I praise God.

God's will is perfect, and I know that He has great things for you. Even though you've lost contact with some of these people, like termyt said, you will ultimately be reunited with all of your brethren in Christ. Persevere, and God will lift you up.
Our lives are but a vapor, let us not let waste our time and breath on vanities, but let us spend ourselves for the Kingdom, seeking a better resurrection.
