It will be the most violent game ever. I've already played an alpha build of it and yes it is pretty frightening for a video game. Usually games don't bother me in the least but this one makes me a little squeamish when I'm playing it. This is deffinetly something that alot of people shouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

As far as I know there is no difference between the PC and XBox version (as they're being developed along side each others)... I think resolution is about the main difference between them (TVs tend to run at lower resolutions than PC Monitors).

Personally I'm not sure if I'll be buying the game, but at least I'll rent it (who am I kidding, I'll most likely buy this one). Frankly I'm more amped about some of the other games scheduled for later this year.

Actually with my $170 Radeon 9600 XT I'll be able to run all the bells and whistles availible. And that's without any slowdown either since Doom 3 doesn't rely as much on CPU power but relies more on your graphics card. It's already a known fact that all graphics cards are ahead of games so the card you bought a year ago will always play the games of today well. PC Gamer ran a big article on this in detail but I don't have it infront of me so I can't quote directly.

I wanna play it, just to see what all the fuss is about in regards to the graphical prowess this game is going to have. But chances are my PC won't be up and ready for Doom 3, so I might get stuck playing the inferior Xbox version.

I'll still find a way to play it, since Doom and Doom II were among the first FPS games I played in my youth on PC and Sega 32X in the 90s.
