Okay, I was getting kryptonics mixed up with something else - At first, I just got a board from a sports store, and used that for a while. But then a friend lent me his board for a week (which was a company brand) and I had to get my own. You can really, really tell the difference. The expensive boards you get at the skate shop are much, much lighter, and more flexible, which makes it easier to pull tricks. It's the difference between a toy, and sports equipment.
You're right, though - they are outrageously priced. (Although they are quite a bit harder to make than the kind you get at the store. They use better wood, and spend more time on detailing the shape.) But for me, it was worth the investment, because I spent so much time doing it, and it was more enjoyable with the admittedly over-priced peice of wood. ^_^ I sound so stupid, paying 50 bucks for a peice of wood. But boy, what a lot of fun I got out of it.

::winces:: ouch, that sounds painful -
Boy, I remember doing stuff like that all the time, though. Ah, the memories. One time I was going down this hill, and hit a peice of gravel, which threw me off, so I twisted my ankle real bad. Had to have crutches for a week and everthing. ^_^ Good times.
Not many people know this, but I happen to be famous.

Hmm, well, I guess it's about time I answered this thread. I'm not a really atheletic person, but I do enjoy a few sports. Volleyball and ice skating/rollerblading are two of my top favs. I played tennis for 3 years with the school (boy, that reulted in more than one week on crutches, lemme tell ya). And when I get to college, hopefully for my p.e. credit I can take fencing; that would be really awesome. Football's pretty fun too, except for the fact I'm only allowed to play tag/flag because I'm a girl. :shady:

I love sports. :thumb: I play basketball out back to de-stress with the kids - or alone. I belong to a Women's Tennis League. I play racquetball, but haven't for a while because of tennis. I only like to walk if I have someone with me. I used to do tae kwon do, but now I work out on my kicking bag in some form of kickboxing/tae kwon do variation that I made up myself. My dad used to box, so I think over what I did with him and then box quite a bit with the bag. I used to play on a softball league, but not at the moment. I used to shoot at the shooting range all the time when I went for my firearm weapons license - but, I don't really like guns (odd). Football is my favorite sport to watch. Oh, and I swim a lot in the summer because I have a pool - but, :stressed: I don't know if leisurely swimming is a sport.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Ash, do take fencing in college PE if you get the chance. I did that for a semester, and it was the best PE class I ever had.

Really? I took stage fencing back when I was a drama groupie (no offense to any of you thespians out there, it just didn't work out for me) in junior high/first part of high school. I had a blast. It sounds like a ton of fun, so hopefully a university near me offers it.

Hmm.. yesterday it dawned on my mom that this biweekly home-schooling basketball get-together we just got into conflicts with my band schedule. So today I have to decided whether to go to band or play b-ball with homeschoolers. Normally, I'd prolly say b-ball, especially since they are nice kids and I want to get to know them better.

Unfortunately, my legs are still quite angry with me for NOT wearing pads at the skatepark yesterday soo - band :thumb:

J.S., when was this??? when you were over here yesterday you seemed fine.
one time i was in-line skating down a hill in my neighborhood, when i hit some uneven pavment and flew through the air, where i hit the ground and slid about two feet on my side, when i got up, the white t-shirt i was wearing was red, so i lifted it up to see where i got cut and my entire side had got the skin torn off, but at least i was wearing knee pads, J.S.!!

I really dont get as much physical activity as I should like. My favorite 'sport' to play (in person, not a video game) would have to be Ultimate Frisbee.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Soccer's fun. Volleyball is, too.

Does yard work/gardening count? :)

Babysitting. There is no way that isn't a physical activity, especially because most of the families I babysit for have at least 3 kids. =) And I get money, too. ^_^

Sports are fun... i like biking with my bro on the fieldroads, playing b-ball with him, skiing with friends (snowmobiling too) and juggling, and horseback riding when i'm at dad's and tackle football if i can scrape together enough people which i haven't been able to do since middle school... and unicylcling... and ummmmm oh badminton rocks 'cause i scream myself hoarse about the rules and boundary lines in a pathetic atempt to make up for my lack of skill. But i haven't had time to do much of anything recently...

I do cross-country, track *800m and 1mile*, and wrestling. But that when I was in high school. I don't know should I continue it through college in the fall.

Oooo! For Hannah it would definatly have to be baseball or kickball. I've got such lovely memories with those two.. One of them really recent/painfull. Actually it was at the beginging of June. But oh wel.. And I was playing kickball.

Once upon a time there was a youth church that decided to go have a camp for a few of its youth. (100 youth in all) And they decided they would go to the pool. Well they got to the pool, but alas it started to thunderstorm, and the water park had to close. So they took the youth back to the camp so they could get dried off. Now most of the kids (well most of the girls) did get dried off and went outside. Now not any of the guys did. And Hannah and a few of her friends didn't either. Now the youth leaders in this church decided it would be fun to play kickball in the rain (which is very dangerous, but so much fun). Well they did. And it was very fun, they girls wooped the guys buts, but that’s getting ahead of myself.

Now this girl Hannah, she is very competive when it comes to kickball, and she doesn't mind getting down and dirty, so she was like 'YEAH KICKBALL! GIRLS VS BOYS VS GIRLS VS YEAH!' And now this girl Hannah, she scored the first run for her team (and her team won) However in the process of playing the outfield, Hannah econctored a problem. As she was running backwards to catch the ball, Hannah ran into the baseline. Then 'BOOM!' Hannah was run over by a 7th grader. Now Hannah doesn't even remember how she ended up on the ground. In fact it happened so quickly she doesn't even remember how she got up so quickly. Now of course all the leaders were worried about her. But like she always does she gives the peace sign which means she is happy snappy. Although yesterday Hannah was a little dizzy after the collision, but today she is not. She is just ‘Oww’ because her neck/back/shoulders hurt very badly.

Now Hannah understands why they had to have medical release forms for the campers. And that is the story of 'Owww

Yeah it's long, but it's funny. *nods* And I wrote it really weird too. lol.
