Limited Edition Halo 2.... waiting for EB to get in the DVDs for the pre-order special on Fabel.... was going to do Spiderman 2, but decided to take my chances with getting it Tuesday.

i usually preorder games if they throw in a good enough deal... for example, i pre-ordered "windwaker" so i could get the promo disk w/ ocarina of time on it:)

I haven't pre-ordered a game in a very long time--I think the next one on my 'A' list would be either Star Ocean or Suikoden 4.

Never.

I have never preordered a game, and I think I never will.
Typicaly I wait a half a year before I even purchase a game. Even then I usualy get a used game as save a couple extra bucks.
The only time I ever purchase a game new, or when it first releases, is when I know (or I am fairly sure) that the game will only be released in limited supply.
I.E. games that will never make the greatest hits, or good games from little developers that cant afford to gamble 1million units.
Examples of games I purchased for lauch price are Suikoden III and Disgea.

Remember back when the PS2 first came out and people were buying them up for some times over $500!?!?!? Yah, not me, no way.
Mine was purchased 2 years latter for less then half the price. Which translates for me, to more money for games.

ditto Kaji , i have never ever preordered a game, but their was that THUG incident... (i was goin to pre-order but i just wanted the DVD extra disc that came in it bui got it for 2 cents after it came out ^^)

morale? wait for the game to come out and pay 90% less for the special edition goods

i have pre ordered some.. the last one I pre ordered was zelda wind waker. (which was awesome cause I got that bonues disk with the regular zelda ocarina of time and the master quest which was only releast in Japan

either that or work for EB and get all the preorder goodies for free.....and in bulk.
(or just put down the 5$...get the free stuff....and then cancel the preorder the next day......i hate when people do that)

preordering is a good idea for a few reasons....

first one is that if a game is hot enough.....it'll sell out on the first day or two and you want to make sure you got one sitting with your name on it. (Halo2 for instance.....people will be camping on the sidewalk for that one)

secondly....free promo stuff..

third.....you help out your local EB with their numbers and the District Manager lets the employees live a 'lil longer......=/

Or you can get to know the EB employees real good and they give you them for free when no-one is pre-ordering... did that with the Driver 3 DVD, and then they included all the content from it on one of the XBox Magazine disks. o_O
